Synopsis: The Trials Of Elijah Marcus Ash

It started out one way...then took a sharp left turn...Not one of my better efforts...sorry...trying to fix it to make it more interesting...

Excerpt: The Trials Of Elijah Marcus Ash

The Humvee surged forward again, turning sharply , then sprinted to the other side of the Deuce and a half. Just as Elijah predicted, there was a small three man team moving in the wood line towards the edge of the woods over by the Deuce. He fired a small burst over their heads, then pointed the massive barrel at their heads. He didn’t speak the language but some things don’t need translation. The sergeant quietly said “Sir? Your barrel needs changing now. We can’t fire or else we could cook a round. Then it’s Goodnight Gracie.”

Elijah replied “I know that…and you know that…but they don’t know that. Reload my pistol and hand it to me, then get the barrel ready to change out. Don’t do it yet, but get it ready, just in case. “

“Yes Sir.” A moment later, there was a 9 mm sitting beside the open hatch.
