Excerpt: The Trials Of Elijah Marcus Ash

As Elijah opened the door to the stairs, he noticed some of the network guys boarding the elevator. Elijah just smiled. He found a spot on the roof top across from the building e was just in. He signed into his website, and then clicked on the surveillance links. A moment later, the screen split into 6 smaller windows. The ones for the partner’s offices were dark, but the one for the server room was active. A moment later, one of the junior techs asked for the password (again..), Elijah smiled, then fired up a terminal client. He was presented with a login screen. 17 keystrokes later and he was in. Forty five minutes later, he had created a new admin level account and retrieved the documents that were pertaining to the case. Not bad for an evening’s work. He was hungry, and he wasn’t sure if Big Rob’s Burgers would still be open this late. He could always do the Awful Waffle, but wasn’t really in the mood for it. He would collect his payment for this job upon delivery of the materials, and at this late hour, that would have to be tomorrow after school.
