Synopsis: We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.
Anique "Nikki" Sanchez, the youngest CNN Executive ever, comes back from her one-month vacation in the Philippines disturbed and frustrated at her father. For the duration of her vacation, she was subjected to one blind date, and another, and then another, in her father's hopes that she settle down before she menopauses. While absolutely having no plans to marry EVER, a talk with her good friends - gay anchorman Anderson Carter, sarcastic head CNN research analyst Francesca Roberts, and good-natured co-anchor Erica Hall - changes her perception and she and Anderson agree to one thing: they marry each other. While Anique is in it to satisfy her father and Anderson in it to silence the ever-increasing gossip about his sexuality, they both soon realize that there may be something more to their relationship than friendship and a marriage license.
(Disclaimer: This novel borrows its title from Jason Mraz's newest album, which obviously is of the same name. The novel itself is based on the songs included in the said album, and each chapter will be entitled accordingly. I do not claim any ownership on the songs and the album itself, those solely belong to Jason Mraz and his producers. This is just for fun. )

Frannie shook her head. "Andy's a screwed son of a bitch. I mean, Jonathan was a catch, and he screwed that up big time. All these barely legal dudes he's been fucking were assholes."
"Well, I can understand Andy. I mean, he was depressed and the big guns were pressuring him to get his ratings up."
Frannie raised an eyebrow. "If I remember correctly, you were one of those big guns, Nikki."
"I know, but I didn't tell him to do whatever he wanted to get his ratings back up. I told him to find his secret niche and put his faith in that. That's an entirely different thing," Nikki explained.
"Apparently that secret niche is fucking."
"Fran!" Nikki exclaimed, shocked.
"Just saying it as it is, Nikki. You know what? Just get married."
"What?"
"You and Andy. Get married. You'll fix your problem with your dad and he'll have some semblance of order back in his life," Frannie suggested.
Nikki was confused. "Wait, wait. Let me get this straight. You want me and Andy to get... Married?"
"Yes," Frannie replied with a straight face.
Nikki laughed. "Seriously, Fran?" She laughed some more. "Get out. We're done here. You had me at 'get married'."
Frannie got up to leave, but not before adding, "Seriously. Its for your best interests. Besides, you'd look great together." And then she left.
And Nikki was left completely and utterly dumbfounded.
Marry Anderson? Crazy.
