Synopsis: Plight of the Platypi

First off, it isn't pure Fantasy. It's Comedic fantasy with other random elements in it.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I have never seen an episode of Lost, so I have no idea what the show is like. So don't accuse me of ripping it off, because I HAVE NOT SEEN IT.

The Alcott University Platypi football team has never made a bowl game until this year. Being a smaller school with a small cheerleading squad, football team, and marching band, they are able to reasonably fit all three groups onto a single plane for the cross-country journey to the newly instated Cheese Bowl in San Francisco, CA. As they fly across the country, the pilot announces that they will be flying through a small snowstorm that shouldn't present any problems. However, as they are flying through the storm, the plane is sucked into an alternate reality and crash lands on an excessively strange island. Trapped on this island, the football team and cheerleaders are pitted against the marching band (they have never managed to get along). In order to survive, and ultimately escape, a mysterious girl constantly surrounded by a herd of cats informs them that two things must happen:

1) The marching band and football team/cheerleaders must co-operate

2) The band director must master his mysterious powers (that he is unaware of until speaking with someone in the lone city on the island) over the weather

When things go completely awry, will the Platypi be able to get out with their lives?

Excerpt: Plight of the Platypi

It was an exciting game. An exciting game in a season full of excitement. The band cheered as they watched their team, their beloved Platypi, bearing the lime green and pink, win yet another football game. It was not quite a perfect season, but to them it was good enough. Everyone cheered excitedly as the team left the field for the final time that season. Eight wins. It was enough. It was enough to make history. It was enough to traverse roads that had never been traversed before.

It was enough for a bowl game.

Jordyn Hollows stepped down from her spot in the bleachers, a huge smile plastered across her face as she and the rest of the band went down to the field to join the over-excited student section in greeting the football players. The director, Mr. Humphrey, had not only given them permission to do so, but had in fact, with all of his boundless energy, beat them to the field and was speaking with the coach about what their plans were for the bowl game.

They did not know what game they would go to; that would be determined later. But they had won their conference and it was set in stone that they would be going to one. Eight wins was all it took. It was history in the making.

The Alcott University Platypi were going to their first ever bowl game.
