Synopsis: Neon Tiger
Vault expert Josie Gray receives a call from a long-time compatriot Brooks that he has a job for her out in Las Vegas if she's up for it. Leaving Atlanta seems like a good idea at the time, as someone just hit the Federal Reserve Building for a huge haul and the heat's coming down for all of the locals who aren't necessarily filing taxes on all their income.
Excerpt: Neon Tiger
There was nothing to prepare her for the brightness of the day as she stepped out of the Las Vegas airport. Flying in from Atlanta, she scoffed at all the “dry heat” comments from her neighbors on the airplane and waiting areas, but she had to lend some credence to their claims now.
Covering her eyes like a visor with her hand, she scanned the waiting cars for Brooks, or at least a sign of one of his guys. “Prompt” was Brooks’ middle name as far as she had ever known of the man, so she was surprised when she saw someone expertly parallel park a vintage Bugatti tourer convertible and jumped out like he was James Bond with blond curly hair, with a sly grin plastered over his face as he approached her.
