Brief Author Bio: Hello, one and all! I'm Echo Kazul. Or, at least, I was. For the last few years, I've been going by the name Raquiz Ravel. Buuuuut, I didn't want to make a new account. I've been Nano'ing since way back in '03. I won in '03 too! I won in '05 and '07 and I'm hoping to break the every other year rut and win '08! I do have a muse of my own. It's a very quiet, agreeable muse. It's my Blue Hair Scrunchy. I like it, as it's quiet, doesn't get on a sugar high like so many muses seem to do, it's very agreeable, and I can use it to flick at people that are annoying me. |

Synopsis: A Dragon's Quest
There's nothing more that the dragon Danaga wanted then to have a human partner like so many others in the mostly dragon-inhabited city of Vale. But nobody wants to partner with a simple farmer dragon who can't seem to use magic.
But when a 'feral' human, Rye, appears (aka, from the unknown human land outside Vale), Danaga finds himself thrown into an adventure with Dragon Princesses, evil human overlords, and gathering elemental treasures. But, during all this, he has to discover the mystery behind the attacks from the prankster Night Element, Lune,'s shadow servants. Why is the normally good Lune attacking them? And what does it have to do with Danaga himself?
Excerpt: A Dragon's Quest
Rye looked at me thoughtfully. “So, I guess if I’m not dreaming after all, you’re really a dragon.” The human looked curious.
“Been one my entire life.” I nodded.
“And we’re Faerets.” Freefall reminded him, just in case he forgot. The tiny ferret-butterfly was still perched on my horn, glaring at the human.
“Ah, yes. Not faeries. ” Rye glanced at him curiously. “Do all dragons have ‘faerets’?”
“What? No! Of course not!” Freefall sniffed. “We only serve Danaga.”
“Ah?” Rye glanced at me curiously, obviously looking for an explanation. I just sighed.
“Danaga’s our Supreme Emperor.” Freefall explained, spreading his butterfly wings and looking rather noble.
“What?” Rye blinked.
“It’s a long story.” I sighed.
“Many, many years ago, our people were terrorized by a giant creature we called the Tatunuki. For years it plagued our clan, and though we tried, it was too powerful for us to defeat.” Freefall puffed up a little, he loved telling this story. “So my predecessor, Whitecrystal, declared that whoever should be brave and skilled enough to defeat the Tatunuki, they shall be the Supreme Emperor of our people, and they would lead us to a life of peace and prosperity.”
“And you defeated it, dragon?” Rye looked intrigued.
I coughed. “I thought it was a just a big raccoon and ate it.”
“Ah.”
