an excerpt
This story begins in the town of Hampton, the southern most town in all the world, where the Antarctic breeze swept through the streets an air of wild, brooding possibilities. The people of Hampton were somewhat more ferocious than those in other towns. The families had grown up secluded from the world and had slowly built on their caricatures without the binds of public scrutiny. They were slower. Slower, in the modern day sense at catching on to the flow of trends, now global, that dominates our lives.
Hampton was a rare specimen of life as it used to be, and many who bothered to pass by marveled, rather uncomfortably, at its idiosyncrasy. Many wondered how it could survive as it did for so many years.
