She assumed the role of a beautiful young mermaid with a glittering lavender tail whenever she saw fit. Though, at any given time, she could be found, deep within the hallowed halls of her sparkling home, wings all a glare in the dim candle light, gazing into the looking glass which held her one true love. Staring lovingly. Daydreaming of her only love. Her hate for everything in the world, her carelessness for everything being, whether fish, pixie, human, or any other sort, made this one adoration most brilliant. Lust. That’s what he’d wanted her for. Her unique, innate nature for desire. Her yearning. Her hunger. It’s all the use she had been to him. But that seemed not to phase her in the least. For some reason. Although the way he had treated her could never escape her mind, she couldn’t help but love him will all of her heart. Her fondest memory was that of a false love. A lie.
