Excerpt: Rocks Fall
It felt like they had been walking for hours, but Louis didn't have any good way of telling the time. He was sure the sun had moved in the sky though, so he was elated to see a clearing in the trees up ahead. The sun had strengthened as they walked, raising the temperature a little bit, but the wind was still biting, and walking in the shade wasn't really helping, not to mention his bare feet and chest. Julia had not offered her cloak, and Louis had decided when he first saw her that he was far too gentlemanly to accept if she did. After the long walk, however, he was thinking chivalry was somewhat overrated, and Julia, pretty or not, was kind of a bitch.
