Brief Author Bio:

I owe a lot to NaNoWriMo.
In addition to giving me the wonderful opportunity to write rough drafts of novels that have been sitting in my head for years, it has also gotten me where I am today in my job.

I graduated with a degree in English (because writing was the only thing I was good at) and then sat around a year afterward wondering what I was going to do with that degree other than teach. (And I'm not cut out to be a teacher. No patience whatsoever.)
I finally landed a job as a newsroom secretary for my local paper. I got the opportunity to write a few articles, but it was when I wrote a column about NaNoWriMo that my editor sat up and took notice of me. He asked me to start writing on a more regular basis.
Fast forward to nearly two years later and now I'm a full-time journalist! I'm still a newbie at the trade but I love it and am learning all I can. Not to mention that all the people and situations I come into contact with on a daily basis make great story fodder for my novels!
