Synopsis: Dragon Goddess

After our planet has wasted away, the women start anew on Venas. There, they are nurtured by the Dragons in their matriarchal society. There are those who wish males would rise back to their former power.

The planet is ruled by a religion of Dragons. Sentient, telepathic Dragons have chosen a mortal to be their spokesperson. Strangely, the girl was born deaf. Nevertheless, her priests have named her the Dragon Goddess. The drakes are merely the nonsentient creatures that roam the wild. The Draconians are the heretics who choose to make themselves in the image of the gods, attaching wings to themselves, and sewing on scales. The most erratic of the heretics are the Dragon Slayers, set on eradicating all three groups.

One such man seeks to find his freedom by beheading the Dragon Goddess herself. But when he goes to her, he finds she isn't powerful at all. She's merely a slave to a religion she doesn't believe in.

Together, they set about creating their own fate, separate from that of the priesthood, the Dragons, and the matriarchy.
