Synopsis: Deep Red Regret
Lilian hadn't planned for this to happen. Then again, she didn't think anyone expected this to be the reality in which they would face. But it was. So she would deal with it.
Lilian Alore was fifteen when the Great War began. Like the rest of Canada, she was eager for it to begin. It had, after all, been coming for a very long time. Her brother went to Europe, and her father followed - who wouldn't want to be part of history?
But the war wasn't the way everyone imagined it. It was long, and it was costly. So when Lilian's brother Alexander is killed going over the top, what is she to do but seek revenge?
In early 1917, there aren't any more volunteers. The Army will take what the Army can get. What if all they had left were seventeen-year-old girls?
