Favorite music: I have a different favourite song for almost every scene! And I'm not above judicious use of the 'repeat' button if a song really captures the essence of a scene for me.

Non-noveling interests: In months other than November I have a hectic life, visiting as much of the world as I can and occasionally getting paid to write about it. I collect skills & experiences the way other people collect stamps, and am studying for a PhD in computational linguistics.
