Synopsis: Fenton Wharf
A thrilling adventure on the high winds ensues when Christopher Benjamin Merrick, fifteen, is whisked away by his emotionally-distant father, the barely-noble Sir Merrick, to spite Christopher's hateful, emotionally-distant mother, who has just reported Sir Merrick to the authorities for financial dealings of questionable legality.
The authorities, having seized the entirety of Sir Merrick's fortune--except for what he could procure on short notice--are after him now on charges of fraud and kidnapping. On the run, Sir Merrick arrives with Christopher at Fenton Wharf, where docks the airship that he finances and the pirate crew that is under his employ. Sir Merrick feeds them a tale of buried treasure on a far-off Mediterranean island, and off they fly into the sunrise!
Fenton Wharf features a quirky, memorable cast of characters, from a kidnapped Russian archaeologist to the king of the airship's riggingrats, Reynard Azarola, and his lover, the gentleman navigator Valentine Heeren.
