Brief Author Bio: Educator, existentialist, executive, grown into a world of one-liners, corporate america, and romantic poetry. Early influences blossomed from stories of belief, imagination, and excellence by Richard Bach, Walt Disney, Mark Twain, and James Baldwin. I lived on a quieter Beale Street, swam in the bumpy Rock River instead of the mighty Mississippi, worked at the place where magic resides, and met the modern existentialist himself. I have had the opportunity to teach literature, writing, technology application, and professional development at post secondary, collegiate, and corporate institutions. Having been honored with multiple, award winning verses, publication of a novel, and business book, my wife, Teri, and I decided to expand our EIII storytelling model and started Story Institute (http://www.storyinstitute.com). At Story Institute, we inspire you to imagine, enhance, and grow your stories personally and professionally while helping you share your successes in print, online, and in person while you Imagine your Stories Again through Short Story & Poetry Topics, Storylines, Novels, and Contests for the writer in most of us and the imagination in all of us. Synopsis: Commons Rambling Tales and Rhymes
Fairy tales and the path of storytelling tightly bound and linked to the destiny of the Commons family...
Excerpt: Commons Rambling Tales and Rhymes
Wink within a Rhyme, My Friend,
I am so glad that you have traveled far enough into your imagination that this book is available in your library. The tales told within have been guaranteed as fiction by the very characters themselves. While they are confident that the stories could not be true for any one else but themselves, they do advise that you not read their fables if you have an over-active imagination. Some may welcome you with open-arms. However, others may wish you to stay longer than your sanity would allow.
So, think aout the ball in the corner over there, or the constant tick-tock of the clock. Make it something real…Please stay away from those white fluffy pillows of the brilliant blue expanse or the ringing echoes under bridges and in caves. They encourage your imagination to grow and take more form then you need for these tales to seem real enough for any reader.
If we meet somewhere within these worlds, please do not hesitate to set a spell. You are welcome to share your thoughts, ideas, and tales, or perhaps prepare for your next adventure. As always, travel safely and remember to imagine, enhance, and grow your stories…just try not to do that at the same time you are reading the contents of this book.
Your Honored Guest,
Samuel L. Commons, Jr.
