Synopsis:

A deaf girl named Eileen met a guy named Jordan on the bus through a stalker that was going after her. Since that day, they have become inseperable as friends, but there are many things each of them have to learn about each other. Jordan had many secrets he hold about his second, night life job he has, and Eileen, with her and her place in the Deaf community.

Excerpt:

LIKE... LIKE... he started then faltered, fearing Jordan a little.

I THOUGHT SO, Jordan said with a smirk after Kevin chose not to speak any further.

He had earned himself a new reputation where he would pay someone back double or if the situation was even worse than usual, of what he was attacked with. That made any joking with him, serious or otherwise, unpleasant.

Jordan remembered the first incident when this first happened. It was Thursday after school, and Jordan was finally forced to go to the park with other guys from the club, saying that he had to come or he wasn't officially a part of the club.

Jordan hated initations, because it was mostly stupid and useless, but he understood the reason behind them. It was for creating bonds between two or more people and make the new person officially a part of that group and for comadrie reasons too.

Still, it didn't mean he didn't have to like it. Anyway, as the story goes, Jordan was told he had to rip open a fish they caught at the park's many lakes. He tried to get out of it, knowing that the fins of the Blue Gill fish were—well, sharp and he needed his hands NOT be harmed for the sole reason of DJ'ing. He also knew he was being set up.

“This can't be right, I don' believe any of you guys did that to some poor silly fish,” Jordan said, crossing his arms, staring at Billy with a squirming fish that was trying to get away.

“Don't believe us?” James asked, taking his video camera out, “We're actually going to put it on youtube, here's the evidence that Billy had to do it last year when he joined.

With an eyebrow raised, Jordan watched the film of Billy ripping a fish apart. He felt his stomach churn at the gory details and stared at the boys.

“Okay, that's fucked up,” Jordan said, moving away, “There's no way I am going to do this and no way I am going to end up on that site without my permission either.”

“Aw come on! Don't be a spoil sport,” Sirius said, whining.

Jordan glared at the boys, his eyes scanning the areas around the boys and saw a free ended cable on the ground next to him, snapped off from one of the cable fence. He calculated that if he did it right, he could get the group of four into the lake.

As casually as he could, he needed to execute this right, he picked up the end of the cable, as though to observe it thoughtfully.

“So, are you in or out?” Billy asked, “I'll be honest, I was disgusted too, but once I got going at it, it was fun. Give it a chance.”

“Lemme think about it...” he said, rolling his eyes in thought, “No.”

With a speed he thought not capable in him, he tightened the cable and pushed it against the boys, sending all of the four into the lake. With a satisfying splash, Jordan stood at the top of the small cliff of rocks, smirking at the boys.

“Now that should be my initation, eh? Mess with me, and I'll mess with you double,” Jordan said, picking up the camera that James had thrown just before hitting the surface of the water. After messing with the settings, he played the small scene and smirked.
