Synopsis: Rider on the Winds

Bellerophontes the Aeolian, exiled from his homeland of Corinth for murder, seeks sanctuary and atonement at the court of King Proetus. Yet the court at Tiryns harbors only treachery, in the form of seductive Queen Antea. Bellerophontes discovers too late that he is a pawn in a deadly game between the waning power of Crete and the forces who oppose her. He flees across the sea to Lycia, but betrayal follows him. King Iobates of Lycia gives him one chance at redemption: fight or die. Lycia is at war with Caria and no one has been able to stop the Carian advance. If Lycia falls, the Carians will rule the Aegean from the east. Bellerophontes must become a mercenary in a merciless age – a rider on the winds of war.
