About Writers_BlocLocation: I'll know as soon as I get a GPS... Home Region: Favorite novels: “All Quiet on the Western Front”, “The Call of the Wild”, “Catcher in the Rye”, “The Count of Monte Cristo”, “Dandelion Wine”, “Great Expectations”, “Jane Eyre”, “Kidnapped”, “The Killer Angels”, “Lord of the Flies”, “Pride and Prejudice”, “Silas Marner”, to start. I love most classics. Favorite writers: Bruce Catton, Charles Dickens, Arthur Conan Doyle, Alexandre Dumas, George Eliot, John R. Erickson, Michael Shaara, Renee Speakes, John Steinbeck, Mark Twain, and ones yet to be discovered! Favorite music: Christian rock, mostly—bands like Skillet, Falling Up, Thousand Foot Krutch, Relient K, Demon Hunter, Day of Fire—and any band that has a pure guitar sound in their songs, like Three Days Grace. I listen to whatever's on my MP3 player, which can encompass screamo-like music, Swedish techno, and Beethoven on occasion… Non-noveling interests: There are non-noveling interests? Hmm. I need to look into this. |

Brief Author Bio: I’ve always felt as though I had a writer’s spark somewhere in my head, even when I was little. I couldn’t just play with my stuffed animals—I had to create some sort of series or an epic of some kind. Then I wrote my first novella at twelve years old, and I realized that I wanted to be an author. And for the rest of my life I’ll be toiling towards that chance of the "spontaneous" “overnight success”. |

Synopsis: [No Title...I'm Just Trying to Finish the Book I've Been Writing for Two Years!]
A short synopsis would be this: When you don’t outline or carefully plot the book you’re going to write, you end up growing old with your characters and they spend over a year of their lives (and several years of the author’s) wandering around and building up a 600,000+ word phenomenon where not much happens. At least it doesn't rain very much there.
