Brief Author Bio: Well... My name is Ashley! I am a recent graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in English/Textual Studies. I was on the rowing team for four years, which in conjunction with my schoolwork never gave me enough time for creative writing. I'm so happy to now have the time to work on the novel that I've always wanted to write! NaNoWriMo will require me to lead somewhat of a double life, I fear. By day, I shall be a Pier 1 sales associate with an obsession for citrus cilantro reed diffusers and Christmas ornaments. Synopsis: Metedeconk: A Love Story
Lyla Beresford is the type of girl that can slip right past you without receiving a second glance. Fresh out of college, she joins the ranks of jobless young adults with an unyielding itch to discover who she really is. Upon her father’s suggestion, Lyla decides to spend the summer tending to her family’s long-neglected shore house along the Metedeconk River in Brick, NJ. Coming along for the ride are her closest friend and cousin, Hazel Tate and Sophia Beresford (respectively).
What no one could predict, however, is the mystery and intrigue that will be stirred up by a chance meeting between Lyla and Silas Noakes, her lively and enigmatic neighbor.
Perhaps the waters of the Metedeconk are hiding more secrets than Lyla had ever dreamed…
