Synopsis:
working on outline. please wait. and yes that does mean I wrote a beginning for a story that I didnt know would be about. lol.
Excerpt:
The waning sun finally gave up its fight against darkness and slid below the horizon line, just like it did every night. Velantha stared at the space where it had been, the red streak it had left behind, and wondered if there was more beyond the horizon.
Perhaps if you walked far enough you could get to a land where the sun didn’t die every evening and be reborn at dawn. Perhaps if you walked far enough you could touch the sun, feel its warmth. Perhaps there was a land where she and her mother didn’t have to live like paupers. Velantha sighed, closing her eyes. At the age of fourteen she should know better then to have petty, impossible dreams. Opening her eyes, the horizon line seemed to whisper to her. “Nothing’s impossible, Velantha.”
