Synopsis: Practical Knack

A newspaper man working in secret for a land corporation comes to Appalachia in 1909 to assist in a plot to defraud and evict the residents. When his duplicity is discovered, the hill people reveal that they have secret "knacks," powers that they will use to save their community and give the con man a chance for redemption.
