Excerpt: Eternal Pilgrimage
The cold season had come with a vengeance at last. Terri delegated the task of close up and firing stopped before entering the final soaring room of her Round House to add the third layer of warm clothing. For each outer ring of the home you needed to add a layer it was so cold outside. She gloved and wound a felted scarf around her face for protection while she built the baffle barrier against the wind using the peat bales stacked near the entrance proper. The beasts sheltering in the second inner room were moaning their distress of the cold air moving in too fast to warm properly.
