Before Kleopatra reighned as qeen. Before Tutankhamen became pharaoh. There was a man, who dared to change the world....

Excerpt: Amarna

The couple entered the room with their usual grandiose theatrics. Pharaoh and his queen strode in together. Ankhenaten, head and shoulders taller than every other Egyptian in the room he was, to say the least, a striking figure. His face was a compilation of angles and strong lines. His jaw and cheekbones protruded from his gaunt face and his nose cut like a knife between his intelligent eyes. He scanned the room with a calculating gaze before he strode down the room to the raised dais where his throne sat. Nefertiti was slim, just like her husband. The Nubian wig she wore accented the strength of her jaw and the thin gown she wore hugged tight across her breast and hips. She took the throne at the right hand of pharaoh, taking her husband’s hand in her own as she cast her eyes over the room. The room silenced automatically. Ankhenaten took a breath and began to speak, his light voice projecting poorly through the large hall, “Today, the entirety of Egypt will change...
