Excerpt: La Vie Darthur

For,

Mrs. Charles,

For re-immersing me in Arthurian Legend
And for reviving a love for literature long forgot.

Book VII: The Book Describing the Holy Grail

“The Holy Grail was a Salmon dish, of which Sir Perceval asked no questions. It has been lost, as with the legend surrounding it.”

Book VIII: Le Livre Esquissant le Procès de Sieur Lancelot.

The reading of this book is unnecessary. It is a collection of monologues that have been unearthed, scribed from the Trial of Sir Lancelot, on the charges of High Treason, Betrayal of Oath, and Shame to Chivalry. However, these monologues are unnecessary to the reader of this collection of books, and instead should skip to the final words—the verdict of King Arthur and the subsequent results of the verdict.

The fate of Sir Lancelot has been written in stone for centuries, and it is therefore advised that if you believe to know better that you disregard this book as heresy, meant only as a way to disturb the Arthurian canon.

In order to bridge the monologues, I, Myrddin of Taliesin, have included prose transitions to ease the reading of this book.
