How do I upload a picture to my profile?
Once you’re logged in, click “Edit User Settings” there at the very top of the the site in the “My NaNoWriMo” menu. There’s an option there under “User Settings” called “Picture.”
Click on this link and use the form on the next page to upload your photo.
Photos must by 100×100 pixels or smaller at 72dpi, and must be under 30kb. Accepted image formats are JPEG and PNG.
You can use any photo editing program (even the Paint program built into Windows) to resize your image.
Please be patient with our dusty old photo uploader; it may take several tries for your photo to go through. It’s best to fill out all your other profile information, submit it, then upload your photo. If your picture isn’t uploading, try clearing your cookies and cache, then upload your photo again.

Updating your Author Profile to reflect that you participated in NaNoWriMo in 2010 is a piece of cake!
First, go to the site and log in. Hover over “My NaNoWriMo” on the menu bar, and click “Edit Author Info.” Scroll down a bit, and you’ll see where you can add 2010 to your list of NaNoWriMo years!

After a minimum donation of $10, you’ll get your very own halo to show off on your profile page and in the forums. We try to add these as soon as possible, but sometimes it takes a little while, so please be patient with us.
How do I post, edit, or delete a novel excerpt, synopsis, or book cover?
UPDATE – 11/3/11 – Unfortunately, at the moment, the ability to add a book cover is a work in progress! Thank you for your patience — a ‘rah-rah’ for our tech team would be much appreciated!
Participants can post a novel excerpt, synopsis, and book cover of their NaNoWriMo novels by signing in and heading to the My NaNoWriMo page. In the drop down menu, you’ll see an “Edit Novel Info” link.
Novel excerpts are typically locked October 1-November 1.
How long can my profile items be? My town name is long and I have a lot to list in my biography. How big can a signature banner be?
Locations can be 64 characters or less.
Signature banners must be no more than 500 pixels wide by 100 pixels high.
