So, so many innocents are going to die in my novel. Seeing as how this is my first NaNo and I should celebrate the occasion, I'm totally going to see if I can fit a bloodthirsty shovel in there somewhere. >:|

I'm not sure how, but the TSoD will definitely make it into my novel. The setting is just too perfect for it not to happen. :)

It's counts more if the Shovel happens when you have not planned on it.
Oh the shovel will come, there is no stopping it, you just cannot control it. :)

Abandoned my first Nano idea for a second in mystery and suspense. Before I knew it, my MC--unnamed yet--was walking around the room holding The Shovel, with a nearly-dead body also in the room. Let's see how long I go before I finish him off.

I really want to use it as a way to knock out a character, but he wont die. Whoops.

Have had my hero use the travelling shovel of death to decapitate a fake druid. He first attacked them with a broom, which also dispatched a baddy. I had to stop there before it became the broom closet of death, or maybe the garden shed of doom.
