It's lucky day thirteen! No better day to pepper your writing with hoaxes, pranks, and misfortune. Today's cover is brought to you by the very talented Edel Rodriguez:
1947. The war is over, and the heroes are gone. Once shining and glorious and everything humanity aspired to be, the heroes of the 1930's are now either retired, missing or dead; their golden age brought to a screeching halt with the advent of the Second World War. Now, three of the world's greatest adventurers must return:
There's Alexander Steele, III, one of the smartest men in the world and an Olympic-level athlete, someone on whom the war has taken its toll. He spends his nights now alone - waiting, hoping for a chance to restart his glory days.
Albrecht Engel, a German-born fighter pilot - some say the best in the world. He carries the burden of the destruction of the Phantom Legion, his own private army of pilots and airmen, for which he feels responsible.
And Dusk, the masked vigilante who haunted Depression-era Manhattan, cleansing the mean streets of the dregs of society. But is he really who he claims to be? Just who exactly is it under that mask?
Now, all three must put aside their personal demons and return to stop one of their oldest, most powerful foes...

I like it. I'm not really one for historical fiction stuff, but the cover definitely conveys the right period feel and I really like this sort of dark and gritty post-war feel.
Although I must also admit, the summary makes me think of the line from Portal 2. "Astronauts, war heroes, olympians... you're here because we want the best, and you're it!" (Sadly didn't work out so well for them. Remember kids, never donate money or yourself to Aperture Science.)
Anyway, I would pick it up and read it, though it's not my usual fare, so I call this one a success.
I would donate money to Aperture Science in a heartbeat. Heck, I'd be a voluntary test subject. I LOVE PORTAL.
Hahaha ok, off-topic aside. This cover is AMAZING. I love the colors, the cool disjointed-type feel, and the fact that it really gives a sense of the synopsis. The synopsis is also cool, I think this would be a book that I would pick up in a bookstore and maybe even buy.
I like it. The plot sounds good, although I don't think that the cover is quite as good as some of the rest of them. It's still good though, especially since this year's covers have been absolutely fantastic for the most part.

I like this one a lot, it seems very real and altogether here...very appropriate historical feel for a historical fiction. It would've felt wierd to have a digital feel for a historical cover, but this one? Eye-catching, gritty, readable bliss. The synopsis is great too; I'd love to read this book.
You must finish this, because I must read this. This contest is great, but it gets me psyched for books I can't go buy, which is frustrating. I'm gonna have to finish mine and publish it just to have the money to buy everyone else's!
I really like the cover of this one!! It's draws me in, makes me want to read it. The book itself sounds a bit comic hero-ish, but I found that those are some of the best stories...
I love this cover. It would definitely cause me to pick up the book in a store or library, and the synopsis would probably make me take the book home. Good stuff!
This sounds like a book that would become one of my favorites. Seriously. This needs to be written, published and sold with this cover. Both cover and synopsis are great!
Sounds awesome, and the cover is really good, too. I'm not too big on books or movies or anything in general about wars, but when something interesting pops up, it's usually REALLY interesting. ^_^

Re: 30 Covers, 30 Days: Day 13
Screams Watchmen to me. That's not bad though-- maybe it's a reconstruction instead of a deconstruction? I'd check this book out.
