I'm not really one for historical fiction stuff, but the cover definitely conveys the right period feel and I really like this sort of dark and gritty post-war feel. Although I must also admit, the summary makes me think of the line from Portal 2. "Astronauts, war heroes, olympians... you're here because we want the best, and you're it!" (Sadly didn't work out so well for them. Remember kids, never donate money or yourself to Aperture Science.)
