Drop off any unused prophecies here, my friends! Whether they're about the apocalypse, a true love, a forgotten power, an inevitable fight between heroes and villains, etc. I don't have any to give at the moment, but am curious to see what other people come up with ;D
Found a prophecy generator right after I posted this: http://chaoticshiny.com/prophecygen.php It's pretty good, you just have to mess around with some of the silly sentences they give. I got a handful:
The divine one will have eyes of rose, and she will be destroyed by a seed of doubt. (I think I'm going to use this one, but feel free to steal it, too! :D)
An orphan boy will battle the monsters of the sea, The fate of the drowned one depends on it.
A great dragon will devastate the land. A great serpent will arise. A victory will finally happen in a time of justice. He will crane in a cave in the age of the sea. The smell of burning will be everywhere. The one who can heal the world will shake at the sight of the Dragon, and he will swear by the coral. She must not hurdle with the faithful pirate. The wounded reaver will finally escape at the coming of death. A relationship beginning will be poisoned by doubt. Only a soldier's deception will save the girl. Disguised warrior will be lead by the brave suicide after the first thaw. A reversal of fortune will finally take place on a journey into the Sea.
I love generators! I definitely need to use this for mine. I'm stuck on my word count because I can't think of how to write my prophecy. Thanks for finding this!

That entire paragraph would be perfect for my post-NaNo project. I'll take it.
thanks for the website I used it and one was A message shall not take place with the celebrated heiress. The word heiress gave me the idea I needed: why everyone wanted my MC on their side! two others An act of cruelty will finally happen .
A secret must not happen at the coming of detachment.
I came up with this on my own in March 2010, and am exceedingly proud of it -- but cannot do it justice, so I am giving it up for adoption - PLEASE let me know if you use it!!
To Light, To Guard, To Rule, To Die
A child will come, unlike all before A purpose so great he'd be in danger for; He will light the beacons in the night of trouble, Guard the nation when enemies attack, Rule the nation with wisdom and equality. His final act, his death Will bring greater peace Than ever was seen through his great life.
This is the One who will come: It is his to Light, His to Guard, His to Rule, And his to Die.
I do believe I may use this one. So far it seems to fit right into my Nano Novel and as long as that doesn't take a turn once I start writing it, this seems to fit right in.

These are made of pure win. I am saving them, printing them and taping them to my ceiling to prove that it is possible to write prophecies that make sense. If I'm lucky they'll inspire me.

Totally just made that up off the top of my head, which was acutally kind of fun. (: Maybe I'll come drop off some more later.
I need some help to create a prophecy, it is very important for the main plot. You'll se, I have two characters: my MC Eveline and Hikari (both names mean light in different languages). The thing is that Lilith (the high spirit of shadows) wants to take Eveline's body to get back to life and Hikari must sacrifice to destroy it, but scared about dying Hikari cheats on Eveline saying the prophecy that makes her believe she is the one who must die.
I'm thinking about something like: "Shadows on exist beside the light, and Light must die to erase the shadows" but I don`t know.
I wish I had use for prophecies in my work. In fact, I think I'll throw in at least one - preferably one that will have nothing to do with the plot whatsoever... I have an epic scene in my head, of a village elder collapsing underneath the table at an inn, babbling incoherently about the impending doom and the rise of the chicken stew or something less ridiculous that everyone will take for absolute fact, and which will probably be just that and bring down the entire town or kingdom while the main characters have already left. Oh well!
'They will come, and they will bring down the cattle and crops on their way. They will ride the beasts of twilight, blades bared and willing. They thirst for the blood of none but the one whom they will know at sight.'
'A golden swan will descent from the fiery sun, carrying three gifts from gods to the mortal kind. These gifts will be given to the most deserving, but one will be corrupt, and those once bound by a common oath will find one another a threat. A war amongst all humankind will erupt, and the devastation shall please the trickster deities.'
I need a prophecy yet spell that would give eternal life and a birthright of power to young descendants of the gods. Something to warn that if they misuse their talents it shall be revoked.
