[Fantasy] Adopt a Prophecy

Drop off any unused prophecies here, my friends! Whether they're about the apocalypse, a true love, a forgotten power, an inevitable fight between heroes and villains, etc. I don't have any to give at the moment, but am curious to see what other people come up with ;D

I came up with this on my own in March 2010, and am exceedingly proud of it -- but cannot do it justice, so I am giving it up for adoption - PLEASE let me know if you use it!!

To Light, To Guard, To Rule, To Die

A child will come, unlike all before
A purpose so great he'd be in danger for;
He will light the beacons in the night of trouble,
Guard the nation when enemies attack,
Rule the nation with wisdom and equality.
His final act, his death
Will bring greater peace
Than ever was seen through his great life.

This is the One who will come:
It is his to Light,
His to Guard,
His to Rule,
And his to Die.

When shadows pass the light shall shine, crystal shards guiding her divine right to the path of truth.

As the sun rises on the longest day the lady/lord of tricks will fall beneath the final spell.

Im just going to make one up off the top of my head.

Steel replaced a human bone
Once of flight but never more
She/He will start the final war.

There is one who was betrayed.
Alone, she will rise.
She will kill everyone that betrayed her.
And then peace shall come to She Who Won.

okay I'll leave one, as all of these have gotten my creative juices flowing!

Will come the War.

When crows pick at the bones of God
Then will the winter ice be thawed
Six sisters, hair of burnished gold
Will unleash what slumbers, cold
Beneath a hundred years of mold.

From the night comes the shadow
From the ashes rises the dawn
The night shall fade at first sun's light
The mage's sword is light.

A child shall be born
from the sand and the storm
His demise he shall face
In the storms endless wake

um... lets see. making this up on the spot so...

under a dark sun,
in the day of the full moon,
two parts of two,
one of fire and one of night will come

that was way harder then it should have been

Hey theres no thread for this, I have a request for some help less about prophecy more a curse I could use some help with that. What happens is a dark fairy's "happy ending" is taken from her so she cures the prince she had been in love, and his new bride and their desendints to live out ten fairy tales:
Little Mermaid/ modified
Cinderella
Snow white
Beauty and the beast
Sleeping beauty
Princess and the pea
Swan lake
Princess and the pulpier
Rumplestiltskin (Hemp to gold)
Frog princess.
There not in that order,
So what I'm asking for is, a curse that she can recite on their wedding day.
So help anyone?

Umm... "Rumplestiltskin, Beauty and Beast,
From this curse, ten tales you will face?"

I can't really think of anything good. There's a few ideas though...

Left at altar, but a lonely stray
Be-stripped of bridegroom, joys and laughter
And cruelly deprived her happily-ever-after*.
So for you and yours, I weigh** this curse
That you live in story, (in) tale and verse,
That your endings be tragic and all pains perverse;
Let this be your burden, your debt to repay--
Woe to the groom that dared to betray
And all his sons and (their) brides thereafter!

These are made of pure win. I am saving them, printing them and taping them to my ceiling to prove that it is possible to write prophecies that make sense. If I'm lucky they'll inspire me.

In the land of Silver and Gold,
A hero will find the King of Old
And the Copper Princess, caught in Time
Shall commit her greatest crime.
With the Exiled Ghost to find the path,
The hero must face the Devil's Wrath,
And when he's dead he'll run away
and live to fight another day.

Totally just made that up off the top of my head, which was acutally kind of fun. (: Maybe I'll come drop off some more later.

No idea what it's supposed to me, I just made some random lines up xD

I need some help to create a prophecy, it is very important for the main plot. You'll se, I have two characters: my MC Eveline and Hikari (both names mean light in different languages). The thing is that Lilith (the high spirit of shadows) wants to take Eveline's body to get back to life and Hikari must sacrifice to destroy it, but scared about dying Hikari cheats on Eveline saying the prophecy that makes her believe she is the one who must die.

I'm thinking about something like: "Shadows on exist beside the light, and Light must die to erase the shadows" but I don`t know.

Could somebody help me?

I wish I had use for prophecies in my work. In fact, I think I'll throw in at least one - preferably one that will have nothing to do with the plot whatsoever... I have an epic scene in my head, of a village elder collapsing underneath the table at an inn, babbling incoherently about the impending doom and the rise of the chicken stew or something less ridiculous that everyone will take for absolute fact, and which will probably be just that and bring down the entire town or kingdom while the main characters have already left.
Oh well!

'They will come, and they will bring down the cattle and crops on their way. They will ride the beasts of twilight, blades bared and willing. They thirst for the blood of none but the one whom they will know at sight.'

'A golden swan will descent from the fiery sun, carrying three gifts from gods to the mortal kind. These gifts will be given to the most deserving, but one will be corrupt, and those once bound by a common oath will find one another a threat. A war amongst all humankind will erupt, and the devastation shall please the trickster deities.'

I need a prophecy yet spell that would give eternal life and a birthright of power to young descendants of the gods. Something to warn that if they misuse their talents it shall be revoked.

When the black star rises, darkness will blind the light.
