Basically, the plots of the generic adventure stories. I'm doing an adventure satire now, I'm NOT an unoriginal plagiarizer. I want to satire the adventure cliches, and I want to do it by weaving together several generic plots. If any of this makes sense to you, please put in a sentence for me. Such as "Boy finds out he is the Chosen One, and so and so". Wait, that's fantasy. Anyways, I hope you understand what I mean and please help. Oh, and other just little cliches would be good if you think of any.
Hero has to save someone (child or lover) from some form of danger (kidnapping, imprisonment, etc). There's usually a journey of some sort. There is probably a huge fight scene of some kind.
Hope that helps. Most of them are sort of like fantasy ones as well, i find them quite hard to seperate for some reason.
I need cliches!

Re: I need cliches!
You want tvtropes.org.
Be warned: you can lose hours and hours reading around on that site.
Re: I need cliches!
That's good for little individual sort of scenic cliches, but for actual plots, not so much.

Re: I need cliches!
Fantasy and adventure are very similar (IMO), one just has guns and the other has magic.
Re: I need cliches!
I've noticed that. Some fantasy cliches apply to this genre as well.
Re: I need cliches!
Like Jordan said. The lover or child is compleatly useless in a fight. Baisically, write Mario. Don't do Zelda.
