The Awkward Moment When....(Adventure Style!)

This is just a thread to post your awkward moments while writing an adventure story :P

I'll start.

The awkward moment when you realize a character will get in the way and you have to kill them off.

That awkward moment when you realize that you're main character is six, and they need to save 42.

That awkward moment when you realize that you're light, humorous adventure story is no longer funny.

Or, that awkward moment when you realize your main character is the bad guy.

That awkward moment when you realize that your hero just made an important decision based on information he has no plausible way of knowing yet.

That awkward moment when you realize your character has been fantasizing the whole novel and is in fact only a nerd sitting in class, and has unfortunatly been acting out everything that happened in his fantasy. With a pencil.

TAMW you're beginning to suspect a character may be absolutely useless to the plot and should be cut even if you like said character a lot

The awkward moment when the whole thing has turned into a romance story. >:/

The awkward moment when you're at a loss for words and try to jump ship. ^-^
