I'm expecting my first baby on Dec 3rd, so this Nanowrimo will prove to be a challenge I'm sure! There's so much going on in the next month and half in regards to getting ready for baby, but I'm excited to welcome the new challenge. Any one else in the same boat?

ME! ME! ME! *waves hand excitedly*

My first baby too due....November 15. *gonk*

I'm still undecided as whether or not I want to NaNo this year. On the one hand, 11/15 basically means I could pop any time during the month and it'd still be considered "normal". On the other hand....I've got a winning streak to uphold.

I vote give it a go. A lot of people I know get so impatient those last few weeks, and this would give you something else to think about besides how much you want your baby to be here so you can hold him or her.

I always joke with my husband that I'll get most of my writing done during late night, because I'm up all hours now. Maybe you can sneak in a couple words during late night feedings! Congrats to you!

We are working on it. I'm on my third cycle of fertility treatment (Metformin 1500mg/day and then Clomid 150mg/day).

Congrats to you too!

I'm sure I'll be fine. Just this overwhelming sense of being a ticking time bomb and not knowing how much time I have left. XD

So....and you've probably gotten this a gazillion times already....do you know what you're having? :P

Katie C

ladyaibrean, best of luck to you....I was also on Met for a while (2000mg/day) leading up to this (PCOS?).

ladyaibrean

Yep - I was diagnosed with PCOS in 05/6 (not sure when exactly). This is the first time I've been on Metformin and haven't had any side effects. The doc is trying to get the right combo to just get me to ovulate.

Congrats to all the new (and soon-to-be) mommies! I'm also expecting. This one is my second. I'm due March 30th so I'm comfortably in my second trimester and will be during November. The hard part is chasing around my toddler! That's what I'm really worried about!

Ashen Fyre, don't worry too much. I worried I would have a hard time when I was pregnant the first time too but now I wish I could go back to those days! It's much harder to write when they finally get here! Lol!

Katie, it's worth a shot, right? Even if you only get halfway through, that's something. :)

Hey, My wife is expecting April 16th!!

Not sure how Nano will go this year. She's usually pretty drowsy these days, so possibly late night writing.

Congrats to everyone!!!

Haha. Yes, afternoon naps are a must at this point. I'm sure she wouldn't object to you writing during nap time or at early bed times. Congratulations!

I am due a day after your wife! I'm just glad to be in the second trimester now ... more energy! Less "quality time" with the toilet! Yes! :)

Ashen Fyre

Good luck to you Ladyalbrean! I hope everything works out.

Katie, We're having a little girl named Alice Marie. How about you? Did you find out?

Storie Storm congrats to you! I can't imagine chasing around a toddler while pregnant, but at least the second trimester isn't so bad!

Katie C
50111 words so far Winner!

Nah. We're holding off on finding out but we're going with Robert if it's a boy and Sophia if it's a girl (I don't care if it's popular or not). No middle names yet because we're kinda...lazy. :P

0.0 I'm expecting a little girl in December two days before christmas. XP It was not really a planned thing. My partner and I had one of those awkward moments like hmm...how did this happen? I'm looking forward to writing a novel this year but I have no plot yet. So if anyone has a spare plot bunny, I could use one.

Congratulations to the soon-to-be mommies and good luck to those of you trying!

My partner and I are also currently expecting our first baby. We just found out its a GIRL (Peyton Shea) and we are due March 3. I am sure being pregnant and NaNo will have some complications, but ya know, hopefully we won't get too many interruptions for either pregnancy or noveling writing!

I'm due on November 14th and I'm definitely doing NaNoWriMo this year. I'm crossing my fingers that my husband will take up some of the responsibilities of our newborn long enough for me to finish. :) I'm excited to know I'm not the only one pregnant and giving birth during this year's NaNoWriMo.

And our due dates are a day apart. We're awesome! :D

I'm due Dec 17th with my first, which we found it is a boy (Jasper Ross). I won't be NaNo-ing this year but figured I'd haunt the forums a bit anyway. I've got lots of writing underway at the moment and don't really feel like putting it on hold for NaNo this year.

Yay I was wondering how many other pregnant Wrimos there would be!! I'm due on April 14th, so excited :D

However I've been so so so sick, so I'm hoping that being 14 weeks tomorrow, the 2nd Trimester will be kinder and I get lots of writing done!

Missed out on NaNo last year as we decided to plan our wedding in 2.5 months, sooo I got no writing done. This time, I'm on leave from school and work, so I should have no excuses! I am SO excited this year, ready to get involved and attend write-ins and visit the forums much more often!

We find out the gender on November 18th -- Nano is going to help me be patient! (Pretty sure it's a girl though...)

That's great! Congratulations on the little one and the stars aligning for a free November! I hope you start to feel better soon. I know I did right before I got to the second trimester and I was much more nauseous this time than last. Looks I'm just a couple of weeks ahead of you! We'll be finding out the gender at the end of the month!

Aprilspen, I had awful morning sickness my first trimester and it did finally settle down during the second. So I hope it does for you.

I'm glad there are other pregnant Nano-ers too, especially in the 20's. We're the second to youngest couple in our birthing class, so it's nice to know there are others out there.

For those of you who are doing/or planing on getting the fertility treatments, I wish you the best of luck!

Well I am expecting and due April 20th of next year so its a ways off. This will be my second one and already this is the most tired I have ever been it will be fun to see what happens next month... Also with this pregnancy I am getting very vivid dreams which of course are being incorportated into my writing for next month...

Congrats to all the other NaNoWri-mers that are pregnant along with me...

Could be expecting. My new motto is "Pregnant until proven otherwise" We've been ttc for almost a year, so every month I'm convinced I'm pregnant, but I've never got a positive test yet. But I've got health problems, and weight problems, and possibly trouble ovulating. We're currently trying to eat healthier and lose some weight to make baby making easier.

MysteriousFlower

I know the "pregnant until proven otherwise" part. It is the way I will be describing myself once treatment starts .

I'm rather excited for this will be my first baby. =) I'm due January 10th (give or take from what we've all figured out) and while I find during the day I'm always dead to the world, at night is when I'm the most awake and active without feeling too terribly fatigued.

My partner and I both agreed to have a child and while it took us quite awhile to get pregnant after several miscarries, we feel we're extremely lucky. ^^ We did find out that we're having a little boy and we plan on naming him "Dante" because let's face it, the name Dante is cute (especially since it does mean "everlasting and enduring"). =) And it's cute because he picked out the name. xD

I'm at that point where Nano will be filled with quite a few doctors visits and birthing classes and such, but since my boyfriend and I are actually going to write this year's Nano Novel together, we feel we can tag team enough to make well above our word count goal. It'll certainly be pretty amazing to co-author a story with him but we both think alike on a lot of things that it should be, hopefully, easy for us.

It's very cool to find that there are a lot of other parents/soon-to-be parents around on the Nano boards because 1)wisdom is helpful and appreciated! and 2)it shows that even if you have children, you can still Nano! To those who are trying to get pregnant, may you be blessed soon =) And to those who are due soon or in the next few months, I hope you guys have beautiful, healthy babies!

Blessed be. =)

Congratulations on your little one! Dante is a perfect name!

Co-authoring sounds like it would be a blast and is perfect for your situation!

And I'll never let being a parent get in the way of NaNo-ing. Every parent needs something for themselves. :)
