Anyone else Expecting?

I'm expecting my first baby on Dec 3rd, so this Nanowrimo will prove to be a challenge I'm sure! There's so much going on in the next month and half in regards to getting ready for baby, but I'm excited to welcome the new challenge. Any one else in the same boat?

ME! ME! ME! *waves hand excitedly*

My first baby too due....November 15. *gonk*

I'm still undecided as whether or not I want to NaNo this year. On the one hand, 11/15 basically means I could pop any time during the month and it'd still be considered "normal". On the other hand....I've got a winning streak to uphold.

Congrats to all the new (and soon-to-be) mommies! I'm also expecting. This one is my second. I'm due March 30th so I'm comfortably in my second trimester and will be during November. The hard part is chasing around my toddler! That's what I'm really worried about!

Ashen Fyre, don't worry too much. I worried I would have a hard time when I was pregnant the first time too but now I wish I could go back to those days! It's much harder to write when they finally get here! Lol!

Katie, it's worth a shot, right? Even if you only get halfway through, that's something. :)

Yep - I was diagnosed with PCOS in 05/6 (not sure when exactly). This is the first time I've been on Metformin and haven't had any side effects. The doc is trying to get the right combo to just get me to ovulate.

0.0 I'm expecting a little girl in December two days before christmas. XP It was not really a planned thing. My partner and I had one of those awkward moments like hmm...how did this happen? I'm looking forward to writing a novel this year but I have no plot yet. So if anyone has a spare plot bunny, I could use one.

My partner and I are also currently expecting our first baby. We just found out its a GIRL (Peyton Shea) and we are due March 3. I am sure being pregnant and NaNo will have some complications, but ya know, hopefully we won't get too many interruptions for either pregnancy or noveling writing!

Yay I was wondering how many other pregnant Wrimos there would be!! I'm due on April 14th, so excited :D

However I've been so so so sick, so I'm hoping that being 14 weeks tomorrow, the 2nd Trimester will be kinder and I get lots of writing done!

Missed out on NaNo last year as we decided to plan our wedding in 2.5 months, sooo I got no writing done. This time, I'm on leave from school and work, so I should have no excuses! I am SO excited this year, ready to get involved and attend write-ins and visit the forums much more often!

We find out the gender on November 18th -- Nano is going to help me be patient! (Pretty sure it's a girl though...)

I'm glad there are other pregnant Nano-ers too, especially in the 20's. We're the second to youngest couple in our birthing class, so it's nice to know there are others out there.

Could be expecting. My new motto is "Pregnant until proven otherwise" We've been ttc for almost a year, so every month I'm convinced I'm pregnant, but I've never got a positive test yet. But I've got health problems, and weight problems, and possibly trouble ovulating. We're currently trying to eat healthier and lose some weight to make baby making easier.

Re: Anyone else Expecting?

I'm rather excited for this will be my first baby. =) I'm due January 10th (give or take from what we've all figured out) and while I find during the day I'm always dead to the world, at night is when I'm the most awake and active without feeling too terribly fatigued.

My partner and I both agreed to have a child and while it took us quite awhile to get pregnant after several miscarries, we feel we're extremely lucky. ^^ We did find out that we're having a little boy and we plan on naming him "Dante" because let's face it, the name Dante is cute (especially since it does mean "everlasting and enduring"). =) And it's cute because he picked out the name. xD

I'm at that point where Nano will be filled with quite a few doctors visits and birthing classes and such, but since my boyfriend and I are actually going to write this year's Nano Novel together, we feel we can tag team enough to make well above our word count goal. It'll certainly be pretty amazing to co-author a story with him but we both think alike on a lot of things that it should be, hopefully, easy for us.

It's very cool to find that there are a lot of other parents/soon-to-be parents around on the Nano boards because 1)wisdom is helpful and appreciated! and 2)it shows that even if you have children, you can still Nano! To those who are trying to get pregnant, may you be blessed soon =) And to those who are due soon or in the next few months, I hope you guys have beautiful, healthy babies!

Blessed be. =)

I had a November due date with my daughter, and she was ten days late. This was two years ago.

I debated whether or not to do NaNoWriMo, then decided not to get started on a project that I would probably not have time to finish.

I totally wish I had done it. There were lots of long hours of sitting around, waiting... I could have done a lot of writing. Instead I was trying to will myself into labor.

To all of you pregnant: if you adore being pregnant, then that's wonderful. To those who, like me, detested it, my condolences. The child is SO worth it.

Thanks to Zofran, I'm finally starting to feel human again! I'm going to attempt NaNo this year, but between school, preschool, potty training, and our oldest's 5th birthday next month, it's gonna be a stretch!!

This baby was totally unplanned but my boyfriend and both of our families could not be more excited or happier! We find out the sex of the baby on October 28th and I can't WAIT! Perhaps it will affect the gender of my MC...we will see. ;)

I'm 24 years old (will be 25 during NaNo this year).
I am currently 29 weeks pregnant with a second child.
I already have a 2 year old daughter- and now expecting another girl in only 11 weeks.
I'm due on the 3rd January.

PS, I'm in my third trimester now and it's exhausting!
My legs ache, my back hurts, I'm hormonal and tired-
and the Braxton Hicks are now officially painful (much like period cramps); thank goodness it only lasts a few seconds. They start off just uncomfortable when bump goes hard- but now its painful.

I'm not so concerned about giving birth at the moment- though am starting to worry about getting the last few bits for the baby's arrival.
Since I have a 2 year old daughter all ready, writing is no easy task.
I have to write in the evenings, otherwise I'd never get anything done.
Coffee, at the moment, is my best friend- and food. Lol.

My third trimester is kicking my butt! My hormons have been going crazy, I can barely make it through a day with out wanting a nap. Though the Braxton Hicks only hit the painful mark yesterday.

Right now I write when I can (I work a full time job, 10 hour shifts) and I'm trying to get ready for the baby. I find that if I don't dwell on labor I don't worry about it as much! Lol. So I keep myself distracted. And also, I agree coffee is my best friend too.

Re: Anyone else Expecting?

At least I'm not going to be the only one in the third trimester! All I know is even mine is kicking my butt! >.< My Braxton Hicks contractions are on the really painful side and last anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes for a couple hours at least every day. >.< It really does suck, too.

I'm really nervous about labor since I'm finding that many doctors around me aren't too keen on the idea of "natural birth". I really don't like the idea of having pitocin and epidurals and things like that because of all the bad things I've heard from friends and family that had them. And, since my midwife doesn't make me feel comfortable anymore, it's even more nerve grating since I don't want to have to find a new doctor but with the way she raises my hair on the back of my neck, I probably should.

Oh how lucky you are to those who aren't too terribly far along in your pregnancies! I find that some women lose out on sleep during the third trimester once baby starts kicking hard. And man, that's what my little Dante is doing to me so much now! xD

Whoa! You're getting BH every day?!
I'm only getting them every couple of days and they don't last for more than a couple of minutes.

I'm thinking I'm a week further than docs say- according to bounty.com's symptoms and developments.
So, I have about 7-8 weeks to go until the new born arrives. BUT if the MW is right, I have got 9 weeks to go.
I'm due on the 3rd Jan.
BHs' are really painful now, and I have started waking up at half four in the morning.
I'm not impressed. If it happens again tonight, I am considering getting some more writing done- and just nap in the afternoon. :)

I was wondering if I was the only one crazy enough to attempt Nano for the first time while pregnant. I am expecting my first child. I'm due January 22nd, five days away from daddy's birthday. (I already told him me enduring childbirth pains to bring our child into the world should be enough of a birthday present so he shouldn't expect anything next year :b) We are having a girl. Still thinking of names. My first trimester was really hard with constant nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, you name it. Now that I'm embarking on my third trimester, I can't wait for her to get here and almost- constant back pain is my biggest problem. Good luck to all of you during Nano! To those of you who have children as well, wow!

I also found that videos of women giving birth now scare me! i used to watch a lot of these kinds of shows before and be like, "oh it's no big deal!" Now I'm terrified of what it'll be like because I know it's coming! I just keep in mind that it'll be worth it :) I haven't had Braxton Hicks. Hopefully, I won't get those too much.

Food is also my best friend :) I crave a lot of fried rice, sour cream, doughnuts, taco bell nachos hold the meat extra cheese.... Yet I always groan when I see the number on the scale.

Yeah, it sucks >.<

I sometimes think that my doc has my due date a little off too, considering earlier today she told me I'm measuring at 32 weeks and not the 30 they originally thought. So, I kinda hope that he'll be a December baby x3 And that way I can get the boyfriend to get his surgery done sooner. xD

My bf gets so worried whenever I have the BH contractions. He gets all nervous and goes "I hope this all ends soon so we can have the little guy here and I don't have to sit here like an ass not knowing what to do!" D:

Hello! We are expecting our second daughter, due in ~7 weeks; was two weeks early with our first but who knows what will happen this time, sort of hoping to go over to avoid Christmas eek. I'm so exhausted lately, finding it a real struggle especially chasing around after our 2 year old but pretty keen to get this finished so pushing on. Forgot how uncomfortable the last weeks are!

Well....looks like it's time for me to bail and hop on board the Parent Wrimo train. I'm not longer expecting because she's here! Little Peanu...errr...I mean little Sophia decided not to waste any time getting in the way of my novel writing and showed up on the 3rd instead of the 15th. :P

It was a good time. I was fortunate enough to have an enjoyable pregnancy (or at least one that I could turn into an enjoyable experience) and an uncomplicated delivery. Coincidentally, the 3rd is also my husband's birthday. We joked about the possibility of him becoming a dad on his birthday but I didn't think it would actually happen. He's kinda intimidated by the helplessness of infants and admits he's looking forward to when she's interacting more with her surroundings. So those little moments where he's suddenly enchanted by her (usually when she opens her eyes wide and crosses them with her mouth hanging open) are just adorable.

My first is due the 7th of Jan, so currently i am at 34 weeks, I havent had any braxton hicks, (but i have nothing to really compare it to since I have a lot of muscle and joint pain since 10 have come and gone). I am using nanowrimo as a way to help me pass time and rest. Which is nice because its interesting feeling my boy kick and move about when i am typing...

Other than the body pain its been a good pregnancy, and its helped with my weight (was on the heavy side before, have lost more than I have gained since being pregnant coz the first trimester I couldnt eat ANYTHING)

I am kinda excited about it, though I am hoping that he will come earlier, since hubby is in the navy i am not looking forward to deployment and basically doing the first few months alone >_< with family 19 hours away...

I actually got pregnant during Nano last year (still trying to figure that one out lol). I had my little boy Aug 1st. He's the reason I could not participate this year. I'm thinking of using single motherhood as a theme in some of my stories

Re: Anyone else Expecting?

I found out this past November that I am also expecting our first. It was on purpose, but more than a little unexpected. It absolutely killed my consentration for the last four days of NaNo. Normally I would have been able to knock out 25k in that amount of time, but I couldn't focus (or stay awake). I'm due August 8th. I cannot seem to get enough sleep (or pizza or juice).

I actually have a question for those of you who have done this whole pregnancy thing before:

I'm a high school English teacher. No matter how much I try to get around it, the job comes with piles and piles of grading. I've found in the last two months that I cannot possibly find enough energy to stay awake long enough to get the grading and planning done that I need to for my classes. Other than "it will get better in the second trimester" does anyone have any advice on how to give myself the boost I need to keep up with my job? I'm really trying to avoid caffeine so that I can listen to what my body tells me (believe me, this was hard; I was a five-shots-of-espresso-a-day kind of girl before this), so anything else?

Also, I'm already trying to figure out the logistics of writing my 2012 NaNo with a three month old...

Re: Anyone else Expecting?

It depends on each woman's body on when it gets better. ^^''' I found that I didn't have a lot of energy until I reached the middle of my 2nd trimester but the energy soon diminished once I reached the 3rd trimester. I know quite a few people who will say that in their 3rd trimester they got just as tired as they did in the first while others will say they were extremely energetic.

If your body craves something in particular that gives you energy then you might try that. As long as it's healthy and such of course. :3 I find that eating fruit (dried and fresh) seems to give me quite a bit of a boost of energy whenever I need something quick. But, that might not be effective for everyone. My midwife also said that if you take small naps it can also help your energy can help relax you and make it easier for you. My midwife also said that exercising for at least 30 minutes a day also does help.

If all else fails, always ask your doctor for ideas on what he/she might suggest and there's always the pregnancy forums online that do come in handy. Or, if you have any pregnancy books, always double check to see what they also suggest in the books to help. ^.^

It's certainly an amazing thing, no matter if it's your first or your 10th child! I know my boyfriend and I are excited for our first although our labor at the moment has stalled. D: But, relax, patient and stayed tuned into your body and it'll help you figure out what it needs and doesn't need. ^.^
