It was actually right after a scene where the guy tried to impress a girl by drawing in a huge amount of power only for it to end up being too much for him to handle and he collapses
Actually, a receptionist just got killed and the killer has been tied to a chair. In the midst of the MC's interview for a secretive agency that's recruiting her. :)
As for yours, tricky! I imagine she's tied up in a remote location and is trying to find a way to escape without her captives noticing, because that would be "the worst". Yes? No?
She's in trouble of some sort, and using logic to find an escape. Just walked into a nest of the enemy and managed not to be discovered...yet. I got nothing else. My brain is fried at 5 in the AM.
My last line was:
She didn’t really have an answer for her friend, and could only reply dismissively, “Yeah, I’ll get back to you on that one.”
Her friend has asked her to do something that she neither has the time nor the inclination to do. But whatever the request is, it's important to the friend and she knows it. So she's buying herself time to think up a convincing excuse.
One last line, coming right up!
Luther remembers Gabriel saying tell them hi and decides that he has no intention of telling his sisters anything.
Oh man, your character are doing the nasty..... but your FMC is cheating on her husband with the senator of New York, and it's oh so forbidden. They'll get caught eventually.
Mine is:
"If her promise is true, that she would assist us in our time of need, then I would see her regain her magic and her ability to do good with it.”
Someone is desperate for aide and is hoping that this "she" keeps her promise of providing it, and s/he is willing to do whatever it takes to get her help.
(Please excuse my poor attempt. The children are making it difficult to focus. XD)
Your MMC has just become defeated after a rather bad news story?
mine is:
“I’ve never seen you before and also I can tell by you’re accent.” Alanis merely stated in response, already feeling irked by this mysterious stranger.
Some new guy has breezed into town, and Alanis noticed. He asked how she knew he was new to the area.
Mine: “I could make you forget all of this,” I pointed out. “I could make your brother forget he ever saw me. I could make you forget you ever knew me. But I didn’t and I won’t. Because you’re important to me, and you deserve to know the truth.”
gah *wants edit button* Anyway yes pretty much spot on, but Alanis had just met the true father of his daughter that his wife had a relationship with in the past and became pregnant before she married Alanis.
Pretty much, yeah! Vampire's human lover (who's a cop) just found out she's a vamp and a murder suspect. He wanted to know if she'd ever "glamoured" him.
I sort of think of the character "Cal" in Titanic. At least it was my first thought. Kind of like the guy or guys were standing in black and white suits and looking at each other like the hated one another. "Jal." And after that a snort comes. Kind of. That is how I hear it.
It's not much to go on, but at the same time, the word "musical" makes me want to change my assumption. It almost makes the guy see the other one as interesting. Like, "wow, this seems utterly boring, but he has that uh-uh that makes me wanna go wu-huh!" Wow, that sounded embarrasingly dumb. Something like that, make up your own mind.
I don't even know if Jal is a boys or girls name.

Not really - it is an introduction and I was having trouble figuring how to get across my gypsy accent. The only thing I could think of at the moment was making it musical.
@stanism - a spy who is meeting in secret with someone who is passing along information to the enemy.
My last line: "Look, just let me in and I'll explain everything," I said. "There's people all through the corridor and I think I might end up being swept away if I'm not careful."
i think there is a war going on and some people are being deported and thus snatched fromt heir houses, ~ my last line, and id be impressed if you get this one
It couldnt be that i was just tired and seeing things, maybe he had gotten free from the grasp of the cook fell down in a puddle of muck and had ran away swearing at the man.
@xrobzix MC is watching a man run out of a restaurant, angry after being accosted by the cook.
"Damion smiled. Even though he knew that Willow's heart wasn't entirely in it, he still sensed somehow that this felt right, that them laying together like this was a completely natural occurrence."
you could not be more wrong :) in the last part, in fact the guy was running for his life as the cook had just put a meat cleaverinto his friends head, after killing the waiting staff.
@ghostlyhamburger They've just broken into a haunted house to search for some vital object.
“Well, bastard or not we can use this one.” The older guard says. “For fucks sake, give that here, don’t you know how to hold a baby? You two, see to this one.” He nods to me. “Lets get back. I’m done with this place. It stinks.”
@Kathelyne They've just found a baby that they need for some grand purpose, but they have no idea how to deal with a kid.
"He was fairly sure Raff wouldn't remember that Jude had already told him, at least 10 times, where he was from. *Can't tell if...* Jude started to think, but stopped. He really was trying not be mean, or meme..."
Evidently, Raff is a goldfish and therefore has a very short-term memory. Meanwhile, Jude (possibly Jude Law, as I don't know any other men named Jude) is very lonely, and only has his goldfish to talk to, but he is also frustrated by Raff's poor conversation skills and occasionally has aggressive outbursts, shouting at Raff and shaking his bowl, which he regrets later. He is trying to reform himself into a peaceful man, so that social services don't take Raff away from him.
And here's mine:
“There’s no science here,” a voice said from behind the door.
My first thought was "There is only GOD", or something to that effect. Or maybe its a dystopian society where all technology has failed? Or....or....Nope, those are my only guesses.
Write down the last line you wrote and then guess the context of the person's above
Pretty self explanatory, I think.
I thought it seemed like a fun little game.
Be creative :)
Here's mine:
"You said... connection..." Damion said between breaths, finding it difficult to speak. "Just wanted to impress... So much power..."
Re: Write down the last line you wrote and then guess the context of the person's above
Well, I'm guessing yours was a steamy scene with a vampire.
Mine is pretty challenging! : "Security showed up after a few minutes."
Re: Write down the last line you wrote and then guess the context of the person's above
Haha. so wrong. Yet so entertaining :P

Re: Write down the last line you wrote and then guess the context of the person's above
Hah, nice. :)
Re: Write down the last line you wrote and then guess the context of the person's above
That could be anything! Maybe someone (or multiple someones) are committing lewd acts in public. At a school. Or a grocery store.
"Panicking would do her no good, and she needed to focus her senses, a task more easily achieved when one isn’t imagining the worst happening."

Re: Write down the last line you wrote and then guess the context of the person's above
Haha not quite. Her friend threw out a "what's your excuse?" She can't defend herself, so she changes the subject.
Yours is a lot more straightforward than mine. You managed to include a little bit more context than my piddly dialogue!
Re: Write down the last line you wrote and then guess the context of the person's above
Luther's sisters have just done something very annoying, and decides not to relay their friend's (?) message....erm?
My line is a little dirty...whoops:
A little moan of appreciation passed her lips and her nails dug into his back for a brief moment.

Uh, paranormal MC confronting a lover? Yes, that sounds like a good guess.

Hmmm, a space cadet learning the ropes from their supervisor? (Sounds kinda Star war-ish)
Here's mine - “Jal.” His pronunciation of the name lent aristocratic touches, rolling the J in his throaty, musical accent

:D damn im good :P
i must say you have captured that feel greatly inthat one sentence, great going.

@stanism I'm going with sex scene. Specifically the afterglow.
Mine is kind of boring:
"“Do you want to stick together or split up to save time?” he asked."
