On November first, I will be lowering myself into a specially retrofitted Soviet-era bathysphere deep beneath the San Francisco Bay, where I will be writing for thirty days without distraction from the surface world, or perhaps going mad from isolation and the low-grade claustrophobia from which I already suffer. I am already pre-blogging about the event at sebastianmalloy.com, as well as tweeting at @sebastianmalloy, so please grab yourself a brandy, pull up a comfortable chair beside the fire, and stop by and say hello. Are any of you, fellow achievers, blogging or tweeting about your upcoming bout with literary madness? If so, let us know! First time I did NaNo, I twittered. Last year, I Facebook'd. This year, I've started my first ever blog. I've no idea what I'll be blogging, but it's different, so I'm willing to have a go. LOL It took me the longest time to figure out his name. Went through quite a number of different ones before finally ending up with "Sebastian" a few years back (my FMC has a number of different names for him!). His surname is the highly unoriginal "Jones" (shamelessly stolen from "Indiana Jones"), but he doesn't use that very often.

I try to blog but I get bogged down enough just writing for NaNo during NaNoWriMo. However I do keep up a steady stream of tweets @Aliddotia, usually marked with the #NaNoWriMo hashtag.

I've been blogging even longer than I've been nanoing. I will be blogging about my creative process at http://warriorgirl.blogspot.com/ but I'm not just doing writing, I"m also going to be blogging about my artwork because I am also participating in art everyday month here http://creativeeveryday.com/art-every-day-month . Call me crazy, but switching back and forth between writing and art actually helps me be creative. I don't know if I will manage to blog every day, I think that WOULD be crazy, but I'm going to try to keep the writing and art up.

I update my word count and blog a bit about my novel progress during Nanowrimo over at my DreamWidth account each year. Most of the time, it's full of books I've read and other miscellany. But I do try to keep up with it daily during nano, if only to inspire myself to keep writing.

Hi! I'm an over 30 under 40 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, Earth, Milky Way, who's trying this for the first time after mulling it over for years. I blogged last year during Nano, am crazily committing myself to do so this year. http://elegantlion.blogspot.com/ Should be a piece of cake this year as last year we moved 800 miles, and lived with the parents for a few weeks while we remodeled our "new" house. I also had no desk or table to write on, so I sat on the bed fighting off my Labrador who thought it was her given right to sprawl out on the bed at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

[Sarcasm alert.] Honestly though, I have been all over the place with my posts and before I don't get a clear direction on what it is, I actually want to do with it, I will let it rest. I admire your discipline of not rereading over anything but the last few sentences every time you sit down to write. So, I figured I'd get in on the goodness that is blogging and NaNo at the same time. I'm a long time blogger, first time NaNo. My blog is pretty eclectic, filled with lots and lots of miscellaneous things about pretty much anything that comes to mind. I bet the pretentious snobs from the Andromeda galaxy (Andromedonians?) will call us Milkies. We'll be all like, "We prefer 'Milky Wayans'" And they'd stick their noses up at us, and they'll draw out a, "Yeeeeessss, Milky, as you wish." Then they'll go back to their Andromeda cliques and start whispering about us. Man, those Andromedonians get on my bad side.

I'm sneaking in here as I'm not 30 yet but will be in 1 month, so I'm on the verge! I blog on my author website but the best place for me to link at the moment is my Facebook "Author Page", where I show my blog posts and other bits and pieces going on. I can be "followed" by clicking the "like" button at the top of the page (Facebook's version of follow). But anyone who doesn't use Facebook, there's direct access to my main blog through there and an RSS "follow" button on the blog site itself :) http://www.facebook.com/pages/Natalie-Westgate/309459942413821 I tweet too! Who gets time to blog during Nano? I've squeezed in a few posts on the NaNo madness.... and just a little bit of actual LIFE. Remember life? Like chores, cooking dinner, that sort of thing?
