I noticed I don't relate as well to 20s. I'll be 30 in Jan. I've been married 10 years and have two kids. I rarely spend time with people my own age. My life is pretty focused on family, homeschooling my special needs child, etc...
Lexington as a kid; Louisville for the past six years or so. I went to college in Williamsburg and was stationed at Fort Campbell for three years. So I've spent roughly half my life in the Bluegrass State. Yourself?
I was born in Prestonburg and we lived in Van Lear until I was 4, when Dad joined the Army and moved us to SC. I grew up in SC, but it has never been home.
I had to work during the game but watched the highlights. Was very excited :)
I had the pleasure of spending a night in Prestonsburg a couple of months ago. I ate a surprisingly good plate of spaghetti at Jerry's restaurant. If I ever am craving spaghetti like that I guess I'll have to make the drive back to Prestonsburg, as I think it may be the only Jerry's still in existence :)
Possibly. I was able to go home for a visit, last May, due to a funeral. I don't think I could live in Eastern KY as an adult. The racism that still thrives there made me irritable most of the trip. At the same time, my heart hurts for the poverty there and for the beauty being stripped away by mining. I'd like to move back and be part of the solution somehow.

You don't have to drink them, but it's the social thing to do among the 30-40 crowd. We rarely binge drink and occasionally we get into tipsy territory.
Only two makes you vomit...? I don't think you have the Alcohol Flush Reaction gene, so what are you drinking? Everclear? :)
Lol! I may exaggerate a bit. Once, I had 2 appletinis, completely not thinking about the glass of wine I'd had earlier in the evening. The result wasn't pretty. My older brother tells me we take after my Dad's family and cant hold our liquor.
Not quite 30

So, mind if I jump in here?

Did you watch our lovely win today?

C'mon down.
Re: Not quite 30
Happy early birthday! Welcome to your 30s!
Re: Not quite 30
*takes a bow*
My husband swears I've been 82 for years. 30 is a breeze in comparison. ;)
Re: Not quite 30
LOL. Welcome to the 30s. apparently they call them dirty 30s?!? :P
Re: Not quite 30
The real question is: did you bring drinks?

Re: Not quite 30
Wow, never knew there was an official term for the red face thing. I've seen it a lot, but luckily I don't suffer from it.

Re: Not quite 30
I turn 30 late this month. This is me saying "hi."
Re: Not quite 30
Ok. I'm officially 30 now.
Re: Not quite 30
Happy birthday, old lady. ;)
