Any single man is welcome to talk to me. I'd love to talk about this year's Nano and what's planned for it. I've talked to a lot of female writers but not many male ones. My ex husband didn't get Nano but he did support my writing because I didn't let it interfere with the family life. This year though since I'm getting divorced and it's final in December I don't have to worry about keeping a house and family going full force. I have 3 kids and they are pretty good about letting me write when I need to. I look forward to writing my book and finishing it this year and I look forward to talking to anyone who wants to chat about anything, especially if your male and single or divorced.
Single male NaNo here. My condolences or congratulations (which ever one is appropiate) on the divorce. I do hop that things work out for you in the end.
Checking in from the north Denver area of beautiful Colorado. Love to read just about anything and would love to have anyone to talk to about Nano or other. Just moved back to Colorado a couple years ago and I am still looking for new friends. I work nights and Write in the morning when I get home. this is my first year doing NaNoWriMo.
Lord, you sound like me. Working nights and writing when getting off shifts. Thought I must admit I sort of like it, has a nice feel to be able to just write until you more or less pass out on the couch. :3
Best of luck on your novel, don't let the funk get you down. ;)
Hello there..I'm single too. My divorce was final a few weeks ago. It hasn't been easy but managing pretty well. I'm Bill by the way, live in North Carolina and no kids. I've tried participating in Nano every year. And it seems that I never finish. Maybe this will be the year :)
Representing Chicagoland here. No divorce on my resume. Thought I was going to get married once. I look at some of my friends and think I missed out. I look at others and think I dodged a bullet. Off to a slow start but I know I'm in the midst of wrapping up a mess at my old job. Looking forward to some free time and ability to hear myself think in the weeks ahead.
One of the advantages we have as singles is we can be parked in front of the PC in full write-mode at 2AM in pajamas with cold eggrolls and no one will be giving us funny looks or throwing cat toys.
I've crossed the finish line twice, so it can be done. Good luck to all, and if anybody wants to drop a line for a chat, feel free.
Great to meet you all. I've just recieved word from my ex that he is okay with my having our kids full time now...so pretty much there goes my Nano most likely this year.......again. But that's okay. I have managed a little over 3,000 words so far this year and hope to get some more going, however I may not finish the story by the end of November as originally planned. Anyone wanting to be writing buddies that's fine, male or female. Feel free to send me nano mail anytime for any reason. Good luck everyone. :D
Female here. This is my fourth Nano with two finishes. I'm in Alberta and I have been published. Would love to make new friends, especially those who understand the insanity of writing and family. It's the second day and I'm at 5000 words so things are going well. Now lets hope the house doesn't fall in.
Female, fifth year running now, hopefully fourt year with a win. Working nights, writing at the wee hours of the mornings when I get home and then there's sleeping all day and dealing with other must-do's in the afternoon. Makes me sort of glad I'm single, eventual partners would feel so neglected during this time of the year I suspect. >.>
Male, 45, divorced and no children so I have no excuses for averaging only 1200 words/day. I definitely could use some writing buddies to stay motivated.
Checking in from the Chicago area hear. This is my third attempt at Nano and once again I am behind. I have too many distractions around me. I would love some buddies to help me keep me motivated.
Hello, I'm in the Louisville area. It's my fourth attempt at nano, second real attempt, though. I've actually kept up with the past two days, amazingly enough, but I'm really hoping to get ahead this weekend. I'm looking for buddies as well. :)

I'm male and single! I think, based on your profile, that we have fairly different tastes and personalities but I need nano friends so... Hi!

I'm an anime lover myself! I advise the anime club on campus where I work. Love the Spike icon. Have a wonderful NaNo year!
Re: Singles
Cowboy Bebop is one of my favorites! Love the Spike icon! You wouldn't happen to live in Japan would you?
Re: Singles
Checking in from Detroit.
Re: Singles
Checking in from Toledo, but writing a YA about Detroit....The GAR, Lee Plaza, Fischer Body Plant, The Corner, North Rosedale, Belle Isle, etc.
Re: Singles
Hi Faewing,
Nice to me you. I'm male, single and hoping this will be my first Nano win. My first goal however is to beat 10k.
I was going to write fantasy but seem to have settled on SciFi - though I'm still trying to squeeze dragons in somewhere.
Cheers
Paul

Nice to meet you all. Haven't written many words today unfortunately. I'll make up for it though :)
