I've talked to a lot of female writers but not many male ones. My ex husband didn't get Nano but he did support my writing because I didn't let it interfere with the family life. This year though since I'm getting divorced and it's final in December I don't have to worry about keeping a house and family going full force. I have 3 kids and they are pretty good about letting me write when I need to. I look forward to writing my book and finishing it this year and I look forward to talking to anyone who wants to chat about anything, especially if your male and single or divorced. But I still want a boyfriend. I thought I had found a guy who understood my boundaries & needed similar things. But turns out I wasn't psycho clingy enough for him...OR SOMETHING. It's still a mystery and I'm slowly learning not to care. LOL. All I know is that he knew who I was from the beginning, but I'm not sure I ever got a real picture of him. I kind of think I want kids but at the same time the thought terrifies me a lot. So yeah, I'm on the fence really. A friend of mine thinks he was putting on a persona that he really wanted to be, but could only maintain it for a few months before it got too hard and he had to pack it in. Makes me sad though 'cause he WAS a really good guy...in the beginning. ha. He probably still his, but I think he's just totally confused and messed up. I like being able to splay out at night without insulting anyone's territory, ha. And I have a lot of quiet time to focus on the solitary pursuits. Oddly enough, my main interests all seem to be very female-dominated (horses, yarn), so that throws Mom's adage out the window ("Go join a club or something and meet someone") and I was too busy studying in college to pay attention to whether there were any interesting guys in the room with me (my bad). That, and I spent my 20s singing in rock bands, and we all know how musicians are. Ahem. So. I'm always up to meet new friends, especially those who write and know how to use that brain up there.
