Hello there. C: Like RavenGirl, I'm also a fellow Wiccan and have been for a few years -- secretly though, as my mother is unfortunately comes from a hardcore Catholic family... >w>
I can relate :/ Born and raised in a Christian church and have been studying Wicca for nearly two years now- they think the research is for my writing, but at least my characters DO tend to be witches!
I've got know idea whether I count here. I mean, I believe that God -- the Allfather, or Source, or whatever you call It -- got lonely and created all the beings we've worshipped throughout the ages. But I do believe that Jesus is his most recent prophet, and that Jesus did reconcile us -- sort of -- unto the Allfather.
So, uh, Pagan for Jesus?
My favorite of my gods is Dionysus, but I'm also really fond of St. Michael the Archangel.
This is me, I'm Tritrinitarian Wiccan (Christian Wiccan) and I'm actually not the only one I know following this path. It's almost Gnostic as I worship the Goddess Sophia (a.k.a the Holy Ghost)
Sunnyblob I am also a Wiccan that is very secretive about her craft because my family are hardcore Muslims :/ I've been Wiccan for 3 years :) May I ask who your God(s) and Goddess(es) is/ are?
I'm a pagan! My beliefs are probably closets to that of an eclectic wiccan, but I'm not sure if I can truly be defined as anything more than a goddess worshiper and Witch.
I'm Wiccan, though I seem to be the only one here who can be open about it. Both of my parents were in a coven in college, so while they no longer practice, they have no room to judge.
My parents both"experimented" with paganism as well. They tease me endlessly about my faith but don't condemn me for it. I'm pretty open to sharing my faith.
@ OnceUponFire -- Dionysus: the Ancient Greek God of sex, booze, and rock-n-roll. My kind of guy. Plus, he was Alexander the Great's mother's favorite, and Olympias was all kinds of BAMF.
I'm Christian. Not looking for another religion, but I was wondering.... What exactly are Wiccan and Paganism? How did you guys decide that was what you wanted to believe?
Wicca is a branch of Paganism, which is based on ancient nature-based religions. I think most people believed a lot of the stuff Wicca/Paganism focuses on before they knew there was even a religion for it, then when they heard about the religion they realized it was perfect for them :) I think that's usually how it works.

Ooh, there's this thread in Teens, too! Yay!
Following Ojibwe (native american) traditions here! Hello all!
@Drahcier: I won't explain wiccans beliefs as they aren't mine. But paganism is a word for all the religion exept Christianity, Judaism, and Mohammedanism, if the dictionary is right. As for why I believe... because it's a large part of my family's beliefs and they are what I feel are closest to me. It's that simple. :)
Christian lurking here... *whistles* Could you explain Ojibwe traditions and such to me in NaNoMail? I happen to be related to that tribe, so I sort of perked when I saw this. xD
...Well, strictly speaking, I suppose you could say that I'm currently without a religion. I grew up in a Presbyterian family, but that hasn't sat well with me over the years, and I've recently been studying Wicca. While I wasn't actually in search of a new religion when I started my research (...actually, amusingly enough, my research was sparked by my interest in including two realistic Witches in a somewhat paranormal story that I'm going to be working on for NaNo this year, haha), I've become extremely interested throughout the course of my studies. I've always been a spiritual person by nature, mind you, and it would seem that Wicca resonates well with me. I love how seemingly simple but ultimately wonderful the religion as a whole is, and how the primary focus is on the here and now, rather than how to get into "heaven" or avoid going to "hell." At least, that's how I see it. However, I keep finding myself afraid to engage the Wiccan community to ask questions, because, admittedly, I've come across so many elitists researching so many other things that I'm afraid to be looked down upon because I'm just beginning my studies. ._.; I know how unlikely that is, but I still worry, because I don't want to get discouraged by someone insulting me for not knowing a lot yet. But, I really want to learn, so I'm trying to stick my feet in and at least get a better feel of things! (That, and I've heard that the Wiccan community is generally pretty cool, so I'm hoping I don't have much to worry about in that regard. c: )
So... yeah! Long wall of text short, I'm currently studying and wondering if Wiccan might be the right spiritual path for me. = ) Hello, everyone!
I'm a pantheist/eclectic pagan (: still finding my path and still in the broom closet, unfortunately, so it's nice to meet some fellow pagans. So how are you guys intending on celebrating Samhain (if you don't mind me asking)?
The same way I always do -- dress up, trick or treat, and generally be my sunny self. Perhaps I'll wear my magic ring, but I'm not sure yet. Hopefully, I'll have fitted my vampire fangs by then...
Pagans Unite
Hooray for Suomensuko.
Re: Pagans Unite

I'm wiccan, I always will be. I love the religion more than anything, mainly because it's so perfectly me.

Yeah, Samhain is one of my favorite holidays.
