I love reading especially the Sharpe Series & all books by Patrick Robinson.
I love watching some stuff on TV such as the televised version of Sharpe, Scrubs, All CSIs, NCIS, Friends (Duh.), the A-Team ( I love it when a plan comes together) and so on and so on...
I currently study Maths, Physics & Psychology at AS at Sixth Form.

Ahem. Um, I love Leverage, among other shows. Well, to be fair, I don't watch that much TV. I spend most of my time on my laptop, and messing around on IRC and FB, and Twitter. And, well, I'm bilingual, since I study English and Chinese. And since, y'know, kanji is somewhat close to Chinese~

-Currently, I am in my first year at university. I'm doing maths.

-After deciding that I want to get fit whilst at uni, I signed up for Tae Kwon Do, fencing and Capoeria classes, each once a week. So far, I have been to each one once. Time will tell if I manage to keep up with any of them.

-For this year's Nano, I am writing something that I have been planning/worldbuilding for about 2 years.The reason it took me so long to get round to is that it will be (mainly) set at my uni. As this is my first year, had I written it sooner, it would have had no setting. This would have made things somewhat difficult.
-Anyway, it is a modern fantasy, mostly concerned with fairly normal things. The whole leaving home for the first time and growing up thing, but with magic and stuff.

I'm a big fan of Glee {even though their inconsistency with plots makes me mad}, I love New Girl-Zooey Deschanel is brilliant. Wednesday nights on ABC are pretty much the best, I mean The Middle AND Modern Family?! Best. Ever.

I'm new to the whole NaNoWriMo party, but I've been working on an idea that sparked to life in my head for ages, to the extent that the characters have become alter egos of mine, which is a little sad.

I'm Raven, 17. I technically live in Illinois, but my home is in South Dakota. I'm proudly engaged after being with him for almost all our lives.

This is my second year of NaNo and I'm writing a Sci-Fi Dystopian novel. I would like a writing buddy writing something similar =)
Last year I started off with a novel about a teen who was raped and got pregnant in her early teens, and was cast out by her mother. Fell in love. And then died. Which was a fictionalized version of the story of a girl I knew. But I didn't get far with that and ended up writing a collection of short stories. This year I'm using an idea I've been passionate about ever since I read Divergent by Veronica Roth for summer reading for school.

So if you're interested and also writing a post-apocalyptic (not involving zombies!) or a dystopian, NaNoMail me =)

- That said, my sleeping schedule is better suited to an Asian timezone. My best friend lives in Korea, and I'm not in school at the moment, so my sleeping schedule shifted more to her timezone by accident. Oops. I'm up in the afternoon and all hours of the night, so for those of you in school, it shouldn't be a big deal. And I'll be a wonderful buddy if you stay up late at night sometimes. :D
- I start school in January with a major in Linguistics. I speak Japanese semi-decently after living there for two years and then taking the language at a high school level for four years.
- My major fandoms are Harry Potter, Hetalia, Homestuck and Umineko no Naku Koro Ni along with various JRPGs. Yes, in case you couldn't tell, I'm a bit of a fan of anime. If you're not either, though, that's okay. : ) I love getting to know new people, and we can bond through writing!
- Need said, I'd just love to meet someone to bounce ideas off of, discuss our NaNos, encourage each other through November, etc. I'm not aiming for 50k this year, I'm aiming for complete on a first draft of a project that's been around since middle school. I never felt confident writing it during past NaNos because of stuff going on, but since I don't have school now, it's kind of a 'now or never' situation for me.

I guess I'll make a list of vaguely interesting things about myself, just because I find it easier.

-this is my third year of NaNoWriMo.
-I'm writing literary fiction this year, which is my favourite type of thing to read, too.
-oh, and classics. I read hardly any contemporary teenage fiction.
-I'm obsessed with languages. I'm currently studying German and Russian, but I know a little French, Czech and Norwegian, and I'd love to learn more of those.
-I hate England and wish that I lived in Vienna or Prague or Bordeaux or somewhere.
-I love photography.
-I haven't taken ballet lessons since I was eight, but I still adore everything about it.
-I am completely obsessed with anything and everything to do with the 1920s and '30s. I seldom meet fellow teenage enthusiasts of this era, so if you like Édith Piaf, silent films, flapper dresses, Yevgeny Zamyatin or anything then you should say hi.
-I'm a knitter. I can crochet a little, but hardly.
-I sing.
-I'm one of those people who talks extremely quickly (and probably loudly) in the presence of her friends, but then starts stammering as soon as she has to talk in a classroom or answer a question.
-I'm extremely anxious.
-I play the classical guitar and double bass, and I'm trying to teach myself the piano.
-I love Spring Awakening, both the play and the musical.
-My favourite film is Amelie.
-Victor Hugo and Anaïs Nin are my idols. Unfortunately, both are dead, so my chances of ever meeting them are, uh, pretty small.
-my favourite sort of music to listen to is classical. Well, that's not really true; my favourite eras are the late Romantic and the early 20th-century, but, you know, classical is the all-encompassing term, so. My favourite composers are Shostakovich, Ravel, Gershwin, Borodin, Telemann, Penderecki (if I spelt that right), Lizt, Chopin, Elgar, Saint-Saëns and...wait, that's enough.
