*Waves* Hey, I'm Savannah! :) I've been homeschooling since 6th grade and I'm a Junior this year (That's FIVE YEARS!). At first, I HATED the idea, but now I can't imagine doing anything different. Since homeschooling, I've made a BUNCH of friends, both homeschooled and otherwise, and I got REALLY involved in theater, which is now my passion -- right next to writing, that is.

Quick question! Are there any other homeschoolers who are circle-impaired? In my theater group, when they tell us to get in a circle, we ALWAYS make some sort of amoeba shape instead. We call it the Homeschool Circle. ;) It's actually kind of amazing.

Haha! So we aren't the only ones! xD We make very deformed circles, and then we get into arguments over who's fault our strange shape is, and usually get absolutely no where. Good to know we're not completely crazy! xD

It doesn't matter where it is, if asked to make a circle, my group will always be an amoeba XD We use that exact term, too.

Hey guys! I'm Abbi. I've always been homeschooled, probably always will be homeschooled, and wouldn't have it any other way xD I'm in 9th grade, and totally have no desire whatsoever to go to school. It seems so weird to me!

Well hey y'all, I'm Kristina and I am a homeschooler. I started in sixth grade, and I'm now somewhere in between eleventh and twelfth. I'm technically supposed to be graduated by now, but got behind due to illness.

I love homeschooling, because there's so much freedom. No schedules or anything. Plenty of time for writing, and for my violin <3

Anyways. Hello, and nice to meet y'all =D

Hi! I'm Katelyn and I started homeschooling just this year. I'm 13. I have just recently come to terms with the idea of homeschooling. For quiet a while, I was super un-excited. I'm just now getting used to it. :]

Hi- I'm Amelia, 13 years old, and I'm not home schooled! I've asked my parents before (wrote an essay and made a PowerPoint) about home schooling me. Same response every time: "No. You'll hate it. You won't listen to us. You're just running away from a bad day at school. You really don't want to be." And I have to ask- what's it like???

I agree with thrilleraddict (except that I was never in public school). Homeschooling is soo much more relaxed, and unbiased. And once you finish your work, you're free! :D
I love being homeschooled.

Homeschooled teen here!

@Chestergirl28: Homeschooling is, in one word, awesome. I've been through public school before and it really stresses me out. ( Not that it necessarily makes everyone go into a panic attack or feel like they want to just run out and never look back... ) Homeschooling is so much more relaxed . :)

Panic attack and makes me want to go hide under my bed= my public school experience. BUT, I'm going to a private school next year (NOT the snobby, preppy one that I used to think I would go to, but probably a smaller, all-girls one), and my parents think it'd be a bad idea for me to not be in school with my peers, and then go to an entirely new school next year.

boing boing boing. *waves* Hi! I'm Myst. Fifteen, homeschooled all the way. I like to jokingly say the closest I've ever been to being in a public school were the times when I was in the kids zone at Fred Meyers. Really, yes. I'm kind of curious what going to public chool is like...-sigh-

Feel free to PM me about anything. I'll try not to unload my problems on you in my reply. Oh, I'm a musicaholic. You name it, I want to play it, or I already do.

Muse is nagging to write, must go before I turn into a raving lunatic...

P.S.
TBP if you know what game part of my name came from.
QBP if you're stuck in it.

Hullo! Homeschooled since the first grade, and now trying a couple classes at the local high school for my freshman electives (plus, now that I think about it, it's probably good to become re-acquainted with public school in preparation for college. Leaping from kindergarten classroom experience to college classroom experience might not be the best idea for me). I love homeschooling, and probably shouldn't blame any shyness I have on it.
I seem to be one of the only remaining people on this earth who doesn't plan on watching Doctor Who. XD I'm more of a Stargate person, and probably wouldn't even watch sci-fi at all if my mom hadn't gotten into it. However, I've recently discovered a love of detective shows (NCIS, NCIS:LA, and Psych, to name the ones I watch).
My two best friends are homeschoolers, but they've both moved away and I've had some trouble finding someone else to hang out with. Not many kids in my neighborhood, and public school doesn't appear to be as friendly in that department. Again, shyness and a tendency to embarrass myself.
Oops. Another tendency is to ramble on for far too long. Forgive me. XD

What's your definition of 'Homeschooled' in your POV?

westernlemming

In my opinion, homeschooling is when the majority of your schooling is done from/at home.

I wish I was homeschooled :/ I'm in grade 9 & and all my 'friends' are these horribe catty things, and everyone is so mean to each other. My mom says if I get published she'll let me ... fingers crossed!

@Kayla Rain: Whoa, you're story is long! :D

I'm almost 15 and been homeschooled all my life, and am eternally grateful for it. A few months ago, I started attending a class with my church friends, and we're studying different worldviews. And one common thread through all of them is their use of the public school system. It's really frightening. All these Marxists, Humanists, and Postmodernists are taking full advantage of the school system. They even say, quite openly, how they're trying to keep parents from influencing their children.
The study of worldview - as scary as it is - is really interesting. And now, as I see things in the culture, or in various media, I can pick out and distinguish different worldviews.

Anyway...just thought I'd share that. :)
