(life) most of my life. Sometimes I think I would make a better proof reader than writer, I notice the little things. I suppose this is an invitation. I have words, many, many words, what I don't have yet is a (genre). If I just had a genre locked down I could get started, well, after I figure out how to submit my content, of course. I like, no, I love dragons and at this rate will have to pop on day 24 with 50K words, procrastination and all, you know.

My novel is more or less about aliens, but it's not really science fiction, more adventure or youth fiction.. I'm not really sure!

My given name is Eric, people call me Paul and my nickname is Squirrel. Although not everybody knows that because I often don't tell them. I tried this last year and didn't get very far. Not to be discouraged I'm giving it another go. I didn't participate in the forums last year so perhaps that led to my downfall. I'm going for more socially active this time around and hope it gets me further than 20 pages.

Let's see, more about me. My arch enemy is those squiggly red and green lines in Word. I know very well I should turn all manner of electronic checking off but I'm such a perfectionist. Heaven forbid I have to many passive and fragmented sentences. Sadly I can get hung up writing and rewriting a single sentence for an hour. Sure it might turn out to be a really good sentence but time is money and I'm broke. Right now I promise you anonymous person, never again! This novel will be as raw as a well smacked bottom with errors galore.

I live in the Chicago suburbs with my partner and our kids. I enjoy dressing up as a vampire in my spare time and playing with other people dressed similarly. It's called live action role playing and it's a lot of fun. This novel to be is going to be concerning gender and sexuality and the act of transcending both. Nothing serious however because I enjoy irony and sarcasm more than I enjoy changing the hearts and minds of the world. Hey, all! I'm a twenty-one-year-old residing in the USA. I typically go by 'Valk' on the net and I'm trying like crazy to get an original novel published, but my muse hates me. So, instead, I'm working on a Final Fantasy fanfiction for NaNo.

I love Final Fantasy like nobody's business and write several on fanfiction.net. Check out my work here: fanfiction.net/~ObsessiveCompulsiveValkyrie. I can honestly say I've played every Final fantasy except XII and the two online exclusives, but I have only successfully beaten V, VI, VII, VIII, and IX. I play plenty of other games, listen to all kinds of music, and am currently trying to train myself in ambidexterity and Korean. If anybody speaks the language and wouldn't mind helping me learn, that would be fantastic.

I'm Rachel- this is my second Nanowrimo and I'm hoping to actually finish it this time round! I'm 21 and growing up very fast, always philosophizing and trying to imagine my future. My future is supposed to look like teaching high school, but I don't know how content I am with that vision. I am someone with lots of responsibility on their shoulders every day, and I ultimately like being busy, but sometimes I ask myself why I'm in college when I could be kickin it at the riverside with some dogs and a lawn chair and maybe a radio.

Speaking of visions, I had none for this wrimo. I laid in bed last night and couldn't get fairies off my mind, so needless to say, I'm doing a thing about fairies. It has very little direction. I am Robin, 47 and a new farmer in Central Virginia. This is my fifth year doing Nanowrimo. Pleased to say I crossed the finish line on all four previous attempts, though I never actually finished my novels, which tend to be multi-volume historical sagas. So this year, I'm leaving Vikings and rebel colonists behind in favor of the things that now rule my life: Chickens! Part memoir, part how not to book. Really, just the absurd adventures of a suburbanite who thinks "Green Acres is the place to be!" Unless of course, it's time to go to band practice. I play clarinet in a couple of community bands. Yet strangely, I don't listen to music much anymore. I'm a work-at-home mom of three kids 13-18 and happily married for 20 years come December.

Looking for a buddy who is suspicious of and likes to poke fun at anyone from the government or those who wear white lab coats. Bring your sense of humor, but leave your erotica. I see enough farm animal sex on a daily basis. Don't want to read about it.

Before I moved to the farm, I read a lot. Mostly non-fiction, but I also love Dumas, Tolkein, Eddings, Butcher, C.S. Lewis, Jasper Fforde. Now when I read, it's either seed catalogs or animal husbandry or how to build stuff I don't have but need and can't afford. Life is very practical here on the fuzzy edge of the map where radio stations fade and GPS gets lost.

How can I locate a writing buddy who would answer some basic questions about how to use my WriteWay or my Scrivener? When I couldn't make one work, I tried the Other. Couldn't make that work either. Help! Tonight after a third full day of trying, I just gave up and went to Open Office. I was worried about how to do word count. That just got answered by Moon Momma.

Two of those lost days were spent going over the interactive tutorials. It's little how-to's I need help with. Anyone who's writing with one of them should be able to answer easily?

I'm looking for a writing buddy who can help me stay motivated with my word count. I'm a homeschooling mom who is a slave to her family by day and a NaNoWriMoer in the wee hours of the morning. Before kids I was a published poet. I gave it all up for a decade and am now using NaNoWriMo to jump start my new writing schedule. I'm working on a very cool idea for a young adult novel. My word count, however, is low, low, low (about half what it should be), and I'd love a little motivating word count comraderie.

My film teacher like my stories but usually says he can't fully understand them.
I'm hoping to turn on of my story-boards into a novel! I can be a bit timid before i really get to know someone.
My life revolves around my mind, music, and writing. I'm a freshman in high school, who procrastinates like it's her job.
I adore complex, difficult to grasp story lines, but find them rather hard to come by, which inspired me to write some on my own. Unfortunately, I'm not quite that good yet.
I have a tendency to forget things or loose interest in them. I have ADD, and am currently (unsuccessfully, i might add) being treated.
I love to write about gritty, raw topics that make people turn away in disgust, but come back for more, along with fantasy settings and princesses and all that jazz.
i also have a tendency to ramble and use weak language when I'm not writing a story.
