And I don't mean a NaNo day, I mean a normal go to school/work/class days. Days when the weather is good, bad and everything in between. You know those unimportant days that pass by without anything of importance happening. My daily word count is pretty low, most of the time I'm piled up with school and get less than a thousand words in and some days I hardly write at all because of tests.
Hmm... Well, it mostly depends on what sort of point I am in a story. If I'm at a point between major events and I'm not working on character development, then there are times when it's less than 200 words. On a really good day (as in I'm working on a major event or a really good conversation between characters for development), I can easily get pages in. So, about a few thousand words. My average word count is probably between 500 and 1000. I won't swear to it, though.
I set a daily writing goal of 750 words for this year. So far, I've been averaging more than that, but I didn't want to make the goal something unattainable. There are plenty of days when I get home from work and I don't want to think about anything, but I sit myself down and write for half an hour, and that gets me to my goal.
A few days, I've written some things by hand that I haven't typed up and counted, so I'm definitely averaging probably closer to 1000 words a day, right now. It's nice to be doing this on a more conscious level, instead of just scribbling bits and pieces of things on paper and never knowing how much I'm actually writing.
I'm in the same boat as Red Queen right now. But, once things have settled down (I'm in the middle of a move) my goal is 1000 words a day (I'll be using 750words.com to enforce it with an online tally). I was able to do that for a few months last year (minus a few days) despite my job requiring very nearly constant travel. My new job requires very little to no travel, so it should be easier. Now I just have to pick which story to work on (and hope I don't think of anything else between now and then).
During NaNo, on a work day, I was able to crank out 3k or more per day. Weekends were even more than that.
I still crank out a not-too-shabby 1-2k, depending on how distracted I get. \this is also on one project - I try not to work on more than one at a time.
During NaNo, taking college and social life into account, it was usually anywhere between 3,000 - 7,000 words a day. Now I consider a good day as 5,000 words :)
I'll write anywhere from 1 to 5000 words a day. It depends. Usually if I'm actually working on something and am invested in it it'll be around a thousand or two, if I'm really into it I write above that and if I'm just writing because I have no plot and just want to write a short drabble, it'll be under 500.
On a really good day, I can manage a couple of thousand between the time I get home and go to bed, but on a bad day (or bad period, which I seem to be muddling through) I don't get anything done. I just stare at my laptop then go on facebook :').

I try to get to 750 words due to this site http://750words.com/ so it usually ends up there somewhere :D In the beginning I got to 1,5K/day but I don't have time with my schedule....
I haven't given up on the 1667 daily count since NaNo began, and have only missed a few days due to vacation and the scripting of a sequel. I find it keeps me honest, since otherwise I would go days without writing out of sheer laziness. xD
Me too. Except life gets in the way of my writing so it's not just that I can't make myself do it. Of course I could take the time I spend on forums like this one and write instead...NAH!

It depends heavily on my motivation. Sometimes, a part of the story just /needs/ to be written /right now/ and I can manage about 4000-10000 words a day. Yesterday I managed 10000, but lately I've been more around the 4000 mark.
Today I haven't written anything, and am instead procrastinating horribly by playing on the internet. I really need to get to work, as I have a self-set goal to write 4000 words every day for the rest of April. I'm writing a short prequel to my NaNo that I want to get done before I lose my muse for it. :/
I do intend to start trying to tell myself to write at least the average NaNo quota of words every day, as I can usually manage 2000 words in about two hours most of the time. Even on a bad day, 1,667 words /should/ be a reasonable goal.
I'm making myself write 1000 words a day right now, give or take about thirty words, keeping a notebook so I know when I skip. I'm hoping that I'll get set into a routine for writing every single day, and that it will be easy to bump up my word count as soon as NaNo comes around!
How many words do you normally write in a day?

What the heck is an average word count?^^
I have whole weeks when I write nothing at all, but just yesterday I realised that I had written 7000 words by the time I went to bed.
Makes an average of... uhm... 200/Apple/26?^^

I use 750words.com too. It's a great website to keep you motivated.
Re: How many words do you normally write in a day?
My laptop does not close at night until I have 1370 words. Aiming for 500k this year. :D

Uh, 100? Kidding. About 800 or so
Re: How many words do you normally write in a day?
I try to write at least 1000 words a day, just to keep me in practice.

Re: How many words do you normally write in a day?
It depends a lot. When I'm working towards a goal it ranges from 500-1000 but I do have days of 200 when I'm very busy or just feeling terrible.

None?
*fail*
I honestly have the worst time pushing myself to write. I know I can do it, and pretty damn well, but I just cannot get my words to form on paper. :/

I wrote over 13,000 words yesterday :D
Re: How many words do you normally write in a day?
I set my goal at 1K for another writing challenge, but ended up with like 2,500. Now I'm at about that much and 3K sometimes. :)
