Hello everyone!

Being an ML has certain perks, including having early access to the forums before board wipe. :) I thought I'd do some ML duties so I can make this regional lounge more welcoming to you guys. I mean, it's going to be a long, crazy November, so it's better to be comfortable, right? :)

So Hello! I'm Tina, aka tinamats, one of your friendly Municipal Liaisons. I'm based in Manila and I work in one of the multinational companies based in Eastwood. :D I've been doing NaNoWriMo for...6 years (gasp!) now, and this is my 7th year. I've won 5 times, and even if my plot is crap I still plan to win. Hopefully this year will be nicer, yes?

Anyway, whether you're new or old, leave a note here to say hi! :) I probably won't remember everyone's names but I will try my best! =)

Hello! I'm very excited to be back after skipping last year's challenge. It's great to see some new names as well as the "old timers". I've joined NaNo for many years, but only joined the group in 2008 and won twice. I'm glad to be sharing another year of anxiety with you guys. See you all in the activities. :D

Hello, everybody. My name is Emjay. I have been around for about four years and won three times. As Eminem would put it, "I am back and I am razor sharp, baby. And that's 'Back!' with a capital B and an exclamation mark."

To the veterans of NaNo, it's good to see you back for another month of hand-exercising, plot-mapping, and coffee-drinking. We've been waiting for this since last year. The challenge, once again, is to top what we've done last year. Sometimes, we do and sometimes, we don't. No matter what the outcome, we've got each other's backs.

To the newbies, you have signed up for an exciting 30 days of your lives. We will be met with highs and lows and dead-even plateaus, but remember, this is not about who gets bragging rights once s/he hits the 50,000 mark. We're like the Marines: Leave no man behind. Don't hesitate to ask for help from anyone of us when necessary.

And that's the bottom line... because I said so.

I'm glad to be back even if right now, I'm not entirely too sure I'll be able to join in this year. I guess it'll be one of those last minute decisions I'm going to make.

i'm sele and i've been writing for nanowrimo for the past 5? 6? years. my original account was lost somewhere down the road so i can't keep track anymore. it's so nice to see old and new members and i'm so excited preparing for the highs and lows of november. hopefully, HOPEFULLY, i don't fail this year considering i'm working now /cries

Last year, I had 32 cups of coffee (I mention this because I don't drink coffee routinely), 8 of which I drank in a day. I never made it to my goal of 100K, but I'm trying again this year -- no boyfriend, no problem. :P
