The Moment a Story is Birthed

For the past 35k words, I've been writing this Chick Lit set in Manila. Expat falls in love, has to return home, blah blah blah. I couldn't get a plot formed, I just kept slogging away hoping something would eventually happen.

Then it did. IT DID.

During a word padding dream sequence, my book changed from Chick Lit to Fantasy with the main character being a deity who guides people on the passage between lifetimes. The love interest? Turns out he's the archangel Michael.

Wow. Now I feel like I have something here! Things are flowing.

My story has birthed <3 What an amazing moment.

And I would never have kept pushing myself to keep writing, even 35k into a story I hated, I'd never of found this.

So happy :) :) :)
