So now that NaNoWriMo is almost over, it's time for our annual victory party, the Thank Goodness it's Over (TGIO) party!
If you've been checking the regional calendar, you may have seen that the TGIO has changed from December 3 to December 10. This is because:
1) We need a bit of a breather before we have a huge event to celebrate this year's NaNoWriMo 2) One of our speakers isn't available on the 3rd.
So! Our new TGIO date is December 10, 2011 (Saturday)
Now, for another TGIO related topic, we need to do a little survey. For us to reserve a venue, we would need to know how many people can make it to the TGIO party. Here's what we can say about the TGIO party to convince you to attend:
1. There will be speakers from the local publishing scene. 2. There might be authors (we're still trying to get them :D) 3. There will be raffles (pretty notebooks) 4. If you haven't gotten your sticker yet, you will get them here. And you can also get more stickers if you already have one. 5. There will be awards. 6. You will meet other Pinoywrimos.
We will be able to determine the location once we get a few ayes, so please answer here? Here's what we need to know:
1. Are you going to the TGIO party? (Yes/No answers only, as much as possible. If there is a Maybe, please indicate if you're leaning towards a yes or a no with your maybe) 2. Afternoon or night?
As for the possible venue, possibly somewhere easily reached by commuting/trains. And with adequate parking. But the number of people going will determine that. :D
So answer away! Questions and stuff - post here too!

I study in a school that has classes on Saturday. To make matters worse, periodic examinations would have started by that time, so it would be a no. I want to go badly, but it seems quite impossible at the moment. I hope there will be some other party that I could attend with other WriMos, but I think this will be the last for this year, so maybe someone should document the entire thing to encourage people to join NaNoWriMo next year and for the people who missed the party to know if there are any important events in the party.
Aw that's too bad. But we are seriously planning to have off-season meet-ups, and we hope we can get writer-related events to go to during off season. Otherwise it will just be a meet-up where we hang out, but that's not necessarily bad either. :D
If we get a place with internet, we'll try to have live tweets/Facebook posts so people can sort of be there even if they're not. :)
Of course, I'm going. :) If the venue is somewhere along Katipunan, just post the commute route so that I would not get lost, or do something better than taking a taxi.
I would prefer a night TGIO. I HAVE to sleep the whole morning since I have an activity at the New Bilibid Prison at Muntinlupa City for my Sociology Research Paper. If it's in the afternoon, it's alright too. :)
Finally, a party I'm likely to be able to attend (...I really want those stickers). So that's a maybe, leaning towards yes :) As for time, personally, afternoon would be preferable.
I'm going, too. 3 PM, like we do with most write-ins, is great with me, but a nighttime TGIO party is fine. As for venue, as long as the commute thereto is cheap and I won't get lost, I'm good with anything. :D
Yes. I and two other pinoywrimo friends would love to attend. and um, we prefer afternoon because it would be easier for us, commuters. :D see you all YEY!!! :D

Re: TGIO Party
Maybe, but I'm leaning to no. I have some place to go at night, so I say afternoon.
Re: TGIO Party
This post makes me soooo happy!!! Now I can attend :)
Evening works better for me since I'm a night shifter, but really I'm good with whatever.

I want to go but I need to know where! D:
Re: TGIO Party
Afternoon would be easier for me since I don't have a car, and I need to commute.
It's a maybe for me, leaning towards a yes.
Re: TGIO Party
Yes for me. Hopefully the place isn't too far off. If it's going to be around Makati area, it would be great if it's in the afternoon.
But generally speaking, I hope it's in the afternoon so it won't be too late for the kids. :D

Afternoon/mid-afternoon would be nice. That way I can get me some sleep since work won't be over until Saturday morning.
