I like the dragon theme. The first set of numbers terrify me though, very ambitious. I'm not sure how to save a copy. Right click is disabled, and so is downloading.
Excellent, thanks. I print screened it into paint, but that's never as good as a full version.
Liz Question: Would other things like calendars, but not calendars (that help remind you and keep you motivated) be worth points? I'm thinking of making a nano firefox personna (I will do it either way, I'm just wondering) and thought I'd ask.
lol no it never is. And I did figure out how to set it to allow downloads, so if someone has the power to edit the direct link out of my previous post (or delete the post) feel free.
Sorry about that. Obviously it's time for bed. Actually that was an hour and a half ago... :S tty tomorrow! :P (or... later today)
The Calendars look amazing. Congratulations on earning more points!

I just looked closer at both calendars. They look great. You are both so computery...I don't think I could make something like that; I am a luddite.
AuroraLee love the dragons. It is my new desktop! Yay for the year of the dragons. AmaiRose's Apple is hilariously fun and very fitting for the Valley. It will be my desktop next week :)
I'm going to have to rotate desktop images because they are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
I'm also going to be rotating. I have a dragon theme and an apple theme persona for firefox, so I'm going to be pairing them up with desktops and picking a mood. I'm very excited.
I will stick to my astonomy wallpapers probably. I print put my calendars. I had a plain one but I think I love the dragon one and will use that. I'll write my word totals on the lines and circle which goal I'm at. I just live killing trees. Lol
Re -you're not going to be around for the TGIO but as an official member of Best Word (therefore a Wolfville Wrimo in my books) are you joining the great points race?

*sniffs in Liz's general direction*
Stop giving me "my dog just died look" I never said I didn't like them. I think they are great, I'm just not awarding points for them. I did however give you "great idea points" ...AND strongly considering adding it to next years points list.
My dog just died look is much much more serious that *sniff*. That's true, I did get idea points for them. Alright, I'll shut up, and be happy about it.
I do doubt your prophecy though. Aurora is a point machine this year.
You can put a picture onto the forums using HTML script for image insertion you can google the code fairly easily and you'll be looking for img sec tags.
I made mine in sai, an imaging program. Gimp is another that's free. You can get images to use online, and find stock free to use on deviant art.
Dave is part of the best word writing group, and he volunteered his house after asking his wife and checking to make sure no one was afraid of dogs.
Valley Nano Calendars
Calendars! Get your Calendars here! (or post one for everyone else. Liz will even pay you 50 points!)
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
Non valley peeps are welcome to swipe this one, too, though there are some valley-centric dates on it.

(if you click through to flickr there is a large one there under actions--> view all sizes)

Apple Calendar
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
I love that you drew or it looks like you drew all the shapes and words on your calendar. I was too lazy for that. Lol
Great job :)
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
OMGawds. Amazing! Definitely stolen for personal use. :)
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
Thank you. I did draw it. I was on a 'draw everything' binge.
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
oops! I'll try and fix it on that photo or upload to my site :P
I've never kept up with either of the top two numbers for more than a week LOL

Re: Valley Nano Calendars
The Apple Calendar is no longer linking to anything :(
I DLed the dragon one, switching out yoda for that this month as my desktop wallpaper, so cool
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
It seems to be working again, but this isn't the first time I've had a link fritz on the new forums, so just in case it goes away again...

Re: Valley Nano Calendars
Oh my gosh, so funny! I love that. All the little things written in there like "Are you really at HalCon?" and "Why are you at Open Mike?"
Psst, thanksgiving for me is the 24th, Americans Celebrate Remembrance Day the same as Canada, we just call it Verean's Day :)
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
Oh, I'm not smart. Currently laughing at myself, but not smart. Thanks, I'm going to fix that.
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
I agree, I love the dragons!

Re: Valley Nano Calendars
Not sure how many points I will earn, but sure, it would be fun to see how many I can get via the internet :)
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
a lot actually lol you'd probably do pretty good if you did all the extras :P plus word counts and stuff!

They don't count for points, but if anyone want to use them, here they are.
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
those are both intensely awesome!
First has THE apple!
Second is a dragon flying over the valley RAWR!
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
Thank you. They were brutally rejected by Liz, so I'm glad to know someone likes them.

Re: Valley Nano Calendars
Crap, you scared me until I saw the time stamp on this message and read the rest of it... :S
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
Sorry. Looking back on it, I should have quoted liz first.
Reading it now gives me a heart attack too.
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
Okay, technophobe and fellow luddite here, and I have questions...
1. How do you post a picture on the forums?
2. What did you do to make the calendars?
3. Who is Dave and does he know the overnighter is at his house?
That's it for questions but speak slowly so I don't run in terror, please?

I'll be sending out private messages next week with his address
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
I have made a calendar....no idea how to share it
Re: Valley Nano Calendars
Is it an image - post it on your blog? Bring it to the write all night?
