Did I Really Write That?

We all know this month is about quantity not quality. But if you are anything like me it is hard to silence the inner editor even if you are nano mantra of "I can fix that in December" you are noticing the poor prose. Which is the theme of this thread:

What is your funniest bad line?
What is your cheesiest cliche?
Or how about your punniest pun?
We are here to commiserate or celebrate our worst lines of 2011.

My worst might be the opening line: "Night is the ally of secrets."

But there are others...I'm going to go look them up but I promise not to edit...till December

I kinda like that as an opening line!!

Maybe I'm just strange? :P

My worst lines I went all out on and would not be suitable for a family friendly board lol

I kind of like it too. Depends what your narration is.

It's growing on me. I think the early hatred of the story clouded any writing done last week.

Hatred is a week two thing... you jumped the gun and then got switched around.

I think my steamiest line was "I want you to keep your cleats and gloves on." which is odd for me since I don't write steamy

I don't have 'steam' yet. Which is strange for me. lol the closest thing is 'he watched her sleep'... but seeing as they turn out to be siblings, um... SO not steamy lol

Cheesiest line: "My father believed in love being greater than physical strength."
In the context of the scene (it's a werewolf talking) it just seems so...silly. lol

Seems better to me than a fan asking a wrestler in the audience for a date and succeeding ~ which is something i wrote in this contest.

But hey, i like being corny for my first time writing <3

There are now spitball warrior iguanas in my novel.

That is not for this thread. Those are awesome.

But they do fall under the "did I really write that?" shock....only you are right they are awesome.
