Next Write-In
Hey everyone!
Now that we're into the second week, I think it's time we had another Write In!
Last year, we had them on Monday nights, which seemed to work okay, althought I know a lot of people are busy during weeknights.
So, if you have any suggestions as to where and when, feel free to comment!
And if you want to set up your own Write-in, because you can't make it to these ones, or you want some closer to where you are, please go right ahead and set them up :). There's no rules for setting them up, so feel free :)

I haven't had much time to keep up with my writing, so I don't think I'm going to win this year, but I still would love to attend some more write-ins and get a little farther in this novel. I can't do Monday nights because I have a night class at 7pm on Mondays though.

I'm pretty crammed for time this week, but I'd still like to go to a write in if I can. I need out every now and then. :P
Pretty much any weekday works for me! :)

I can only do Tuesdays or Wednesdays as my earliest time to be done work is 9:30pm every other day.

Okay, well, hopefully someone is reading this :)
I'm probably going to be at the Goat tonight, from about 7-9.30 or so, so if anyone wants to come out and write with me, I'll be glad to see you! :D

Oh, shoot! I just saw this now... no can do for tonight. Too much to do! By Friday I'll have submitted my midterm and will be able to breathe a bit... how about then?

That could be nice. Where and when? (I didn't see the Monday note until Tuesday - in previous years, these messages seemed to be forwarded to email - it isn't happening this year, and it's quite a lengthy process to get to the forums :( ).

^ Yeah, the email function isn't currently working. Sorry, I know it's frustrating! I know they're working on it, but there doesn't seem to be any improvement yet.
Anyway, for the Friday night meet, I was thinkign the Sleepless Goat? Around 7? That seems to be our default location/time...

Test Test - I hope this goes through. I haven't been able to reply to any of these threads since early this month. Much thanks to Ace and Sem who let me know in an earlier thread that the SG is a coffee shop.
I'll mark Friday down and see if I can make it. It's been a crazy month, so no promises. I've no laptop though either, so it's somewhat pointless for me to come. But I can always do some concept art for the novel, I guess.

There's nothing wrong with writing by hand! You'll take up less space than those of us with computers, anyways. ;)
Friday it is! I'll probably be exhausted and punchy (this week has been insane), but I'll be there!

I am doing training tomorrow and Friday so done at 4:30. Where abouts is the SG? I've been to the Toucan but that's about it lol I can't bring my laptop with me sadly (it has a cracked hinge so I don't even close it anymore for fear of it snapping in two!) but shall bring my trusty notebook and at least scratch out some ideas. I'm flat broke though so will probably bring a bottle of pop or water if they'll allow it lol I make no guarantees, but I will try and come out while I have the chance! Next week is vaca so won't be in town much.

The Sleepless Goat is on Princess Street, just south of the Wellington/Princess intersection. If you know where the Scotiabank is on Princess, it's one block beyond that :)
I don't think they'd have a problem with a bottle of water or coke. They're pretty laid back there.

Ooh, one quick question since I can't bring my laptop along. Friday at about 8PM is when I have to jump on booking my vaca cuz it's lumped in with our "blackout" period so the first 5 people only get the days off sort a deal..... Is there wifi at SG and could I steal someone's laptop for like 2 minutes to do so? Or how late do you guys usually hang out for that I could catch the 8:30 bus over afterwards?

^ Yeah, I wouldn't have a problem with you using my laptop for a second :). I usually stay till around 9:30 or 10, but you can arrive or leave whenever you like.

Test - This forum won't let me reply directly (seems to mostly affect my Region forum). So frustrating!
@Murphy - very true!
Just wanted to say I'm a no-go for today. Someone in the house inadvertently brought home a flu monster and it hit me hard. So I'm down for the count, writing a few words here and there while sipping on jasmine tea and ginger soup. At least I can spend the day in my pj's. :S

I so want to go tonight, but I'm actually just jumping on quick from work. Got asked to stay a bit later and help out with some stuff for my supervisor and probably will only be getting home around 8PM and then supper and getting stuff done before doing some over time tomorrow. Gah, another yr I've had to miss out on write ins or meet ups :(

I just got home from grad photos (ZOMG) a while ago. I'll be there by eightish. :)
