I know we have a spreadsheet for all of the official events, but I've noticed quite a few people adding events that aren't on the list and I'm starting to have a hard time keeping track of everything so I decided to open this thread as a way for people to post their un-official events that they might be hosting last minute. For instance, tomorrow I will be finishing my work shift at the brand new Second Cup at 544 Church, just south of Wellsley, at 1 and will be writing there for a few more hours. I would love it if anyone would care to join me for a coffee and hopefully a couple thousand words. Good company is always appreciated. Event: Impromptu write in Date: November 1 When: 1-4pm Where: Second Cup Church Street 544 Church Street, just south of Wellsley (2 minute walk from Wellsley station) I was thinking something like this format just to make things easier to keep track of. (I'm not expecting a huge turn out tomorrow obviously but feel free to stop by!), but it would be nice to have a way to keep track of all of these unofficial events.

If I wasn't working until 4, I would show up for that...it's literally around the corner from where I live. Anyway, there's a thread for my event, but I'll post it here, too. Good idea, mantaraider! Event: Subway write in Date: November 5 When: 10am - noon Where: Start at north end of Finch subway station platform and ride the rails until we can't ride them no more. I don't know the address of Finch, but it is the northern-most subway stop on the Yonge line.

Well, yes, but presumably it has a street number or an entrance or something. I've only ever seen it from the inside. :)

(i guess, whenever works too, lol) Where: Richview Public Library - 1806 Islington Avenue Public Transit: TTC bus #37 from Islington subway station to Summitcrest Dr. TTC bus #32 along Eglinton Ave. to Islington Ave. Walk two blocks north to Summitcrest Drive. Parking Free - lot adjacent to library, enter off Waterford Dr.

Event: The I-Can't-Stay-Up-For-Runnymede Post-Work Write-in Date: November 4 When: 5-7pm (ish) Where: Sherway Gardens, upstairs in the food court in the vicinity of the KFC/Taco Bell I have plans after 7 so can't make it out to Runnymede, but was going to steal a couple hours after work to write in the mall if anyone wants to join me.

***ON THE DANFORTH*** There seems to be a lack of meet-ups in the East York area, so a few of us are putting together a weekly get-together on the Danforth. The location will depend on how many of y'all are interested, so please nanomail me your "RSVP" and let me know what times you would work best for you and we'll try to be as inclusive as possible. Tentative Time = every Thursdays late afternoon (maybe 6-830ish) Location Options = Re: Reading if five or less people (unless y'all don't mind sitting on the floor) = Pape library if six or more people (if over 12 we'd be in 2 different areas unless you like the floor) Both places have a couple electrical sockets available for those who need outlets for their laptops. ~*Jaime-Kristal*~

Event: Sunday afternoon writing session When: November 6, 3:30-5:30pm Where: starbucks at Kennard and Dufferin, a couple blocks north of sheppard. To get there, take the 105 or 104 from Downsview station. On the 105, get off at Rimrock and walk north, it's on the west side of the street. On the 104, get off at Allen road and head into the plaza.

Who's up for bringing back the Tuesday night writing sessions at the Starbucks at Bathurst and Steeles? When: 7-10, every Tuesday night. How to get there: You can come up to Thornhill by going to Finch Station and taking the #60 bus to Bathurst and Steeles. The bus lets you off right outside a plaza with a gas station and a Country Style. Cross Steeles and follow Bathurst along (going North) for about a minute until you see the glorious lights of Starbucks.

I live super close to Bathurst and Steeles! Too bad you won't be there tonight. :) I might hit up the Second Cup by Wilson Station instead, unless someone else was planning to go to the Starbucks.

I;m Up for bringing back the Tusday starbucks (i tried to for the last two weeks but couldn't which sucked Damn Vacation Packing and recooperation, but i'm also for adding a few days to it...literally if i can. I'll prolly be there Tusday, but i'd like to add Thursdays and saterdays for others if i can. i'll see you all there if your up for it :)

Hey all. So, yesterday, I was going past Bathurst & Steeles and I saw all the lights were out and a bunch of police cars outside it. Don't know what was happening, but I'll go by again today to see if it was resolved. If so, and they're open for business again, I hope to see you there at 7 tonight :)

Would anyone be up for an unofficial Mississauga session either this Saturday (19th) or Sunday (20th) for those of us who aren't attending the overnighter/Are not 18 yet? I'm thinking the same place we have the normal 'Sauga events at: Panera Bread just outside Square One, whatever time works best for others who want to tag along. I'm flexible! URBANA UNOFFICIAL (unleashed!) i've been greatly enjoying the wednesday urbana writing sessions. there's no official one this week, but let's meet there again anyway! i can host this, but because of my schedule this will start somewhat later than previous meetups. Unofficial social event! For those of you who have some time to kill before the final writing session Wednesday night! Or those of you who aren't going to that but want to hang out before it! Jas and I will be at Snakes and Lattes beforehand, so if you'd like to play some games and relax before the final countdown, we'd love to see you there! unofficial tuesday night write! a few of us are gathering at the starbucks at bathurst st & st. clair west this tuesday evening. it's a nice starbucks, but it's a little small—however they do have a communal table at the back with power outlets which we can try to occupy. WHEN: tuesday 29 nov 2011, 6:30pm-10:30pm HOST: bunnyhero WHERE: starbucks, 504 St. Clair Avenue West, right on the corner of bathurst and st clair ave. Map BY TRANSIT: go to st. clair west subway station, then walk one block west to bathurst LOST ON THE WAY THERE? call bunnyhero: 416-856-5996 (the google maps street view shows construction at that corner, but trust me, it's really there :P)

muppets! saturday i'm planning to set the muppets movie saturday night and wondered if anyone other local wrimos would like to join me. i'll be going to the 8 pm screening at AMC yonge & dundas 24. since I'm neurotic about getting good seats, how about meeting at about 7:00pm on the food court level? let me know if you're coming so i know who to wait for :) when: sat 3 Dec 2011, meeting at 7pm for 8pm screening where: AMC yonge & dundas 24, food court level. map by TTC: dundas station (yonge line)

I really, really, really want to hit 50k while at a write-in somewhere, so this is me saying that I will be there, if even just so I can pass the 50k mark surrounded by other WriMos and celebrate with all you guys! :D
