High School WriMos

I noticed that a few university/college WriMos formed their own little sub-forms, so I decided to make one for us ambitious high schoolers!

So, I guess introduce yourself, and we'll have some fun! Word wars, complaining about homework, writing sessions, you get the picture.

To break the ice: Hi, I'm Kate, I'm in grade 11 at an arts school downtown, and this will be my third year of NaNo! I think my novel will be about a traveling circus in a post-apocalyptic Canada (inspired by a Nuit Blanche exhibit), but we're not even half way to November, so you know...

Hello! I am Sunny, I'm in grade nine at a private school, and this will be my third year of NaNo too! Your novel sounds absolutely amazing so I think I need to bug you to finish it so that I can read it. I LOVE circuses, especially creepy ones. As for me, I don't like talking about my novel before I've finished it :D

Hey, I'm Hannah. I'm in Grade 12 in a school near High Park. My novel description is a wee bit long, so I won't post it here, but you can read it on my profile. I'm ready to do Nano, whilst applying to Universities (I want to get my undergrad in Creative Writing and my Masters in Librarian Studies), so November will be filled with chaos. Yay!

Though I am a bit out of the region, I still attend some events and I hang around the chat a lot. I'm Negasi, and this will be my third time through NaNo as well! (Also my third time trying to finish grade 12, but that's a totally different story.) I go to a highschool in Oshawa :). Oooh my novel is going to be your typical medieval fantasy with lots of sword fights and magic and all that good stuff! :D

Hey! I'm Victoria, and I'm in grade nine. This is my second NaNo year, though I failed the YWP the year before that, and failed Screnzy last April >.>

Hope that I make it to 50k again this year, but with the number of clubs and community service crap I've taken on, it's not likely... I'll try, though!

Hi! I'm BookLover, or Amelia, and I'm in grade 12. It's my fifth nano, and hopefully my third win! I'm crazy busy during November (gah, scholarships are a pain to apply for - just a warning to all you youngsters!) so I'm not sure how well this year is going to go.

I have absolutely no idea what I'm writing about so far, other than it's a fantasy novel. Anyone else have any clue what they're writing?

Hi! I'm Lithy, and I'm in grade eleven even though I should've graduated in June. Whatever. This will be my seventh Nanowrimo and my sixth win. I'mma kick serious butt. I go to alternative school downtown and it's AWESOME.

One or two of you may or may not have heard of some crazy girl named Skittlez who likes to hit people. That, coincidentally, would be me. I don't hit Nanoers if I can help it. Anymore. Ahem.

I'm writing a fantasy story which I have all detailed out and which involves a girl being sort of forced to reclaim her throne :P Originally I imagined her as wanting the throne, but I've realized she probably just wants to be left the eff alone. I would too in her shoes. Heh.

I can't wait to start :D Are you guys excited?

I'm Vic/Jocelyn (depending on how you know me) and I'm in grade 11 at the same school as Kate. Which means I need to hunt her down... and maybe she can persuade me to write this year even though my school schedule is incredibly hectic.

Seeing as I was not planning on writing this year, I've not planned anything in the way of plot-like ramblings.

On a side note (since I can't seem to find an edit button on the posts), I looked at your profile and you ARE Kate! Weren't you the one I told about Nanowrimo in grade 9? Haha.

Hmm, I think I will start off with explaining my username.... It's moogle99, obviously. 99 is my favourite number (don't ask me why! :D) and moogle is google for cows. I made that up in grade seven... two years ago! I'm in grade nine--what's that? Four grade niners now?

Well... I don't have much else to say. Ha! Who am I kidding, I always have something to say (it's true, today I talked my friend's ear off for about twenty minutes straight... about the subtle differences between periwinkle, indigo, and cornflower blue).

This will be my first Nano, and I'm hoping to reach (at least) 25 000 words.

for everyone who says they need a friend to go with jsut say me, im in grade 12 very "responsible"..... well most of the time, and there are adults who will keeps out for you and other teenagers and such, like me! so everyone shoudl come, and brampton is west of toronto, about a 30 min drive is you dont have traffic, if not then longer

I'll definitely be there, with my boyfriend. He usually hangs out with the geeks :P (*Cough*Bunnyhero*cough*) I've only ever met two or three Nanoers I didn't like, and I've been at it for a long time. That includes on the wider forums, though of course I've never met those people in real life.

lol reminds me of the first time i wen tto a naano event i wanted to come hang out wiht you guys to see hilarys cats...though me and my friends ride wouldnt let us, nano peole are suspicous :P

My book is... Weird..?
I have no clue.
It's about the very twisted mind of a rich, dead man named Marcus and how a woman named Mary found herself trapped in it, along with great many ofther dead people.
It's sort of about Heaven and Hell, but made a inifinitally more complicated, because that us what my mind comes up with at three in the morning.
